  1. Lot's of money to the post office today....
  2. Nice. That thing should last for-frikkin-ever. And get even better looking with wear. Good job.
  3. Thanks! I do like making these videos. Although, I recorded in HD which made the editing time longer than the actual making of the wallet; I think I may need a better video card. I had to squeeze about 1.5 hours of footage into 3:29 minutes. Thanks again!
  4. Thanks! Good eye too. An incredible knifemaker friend of mine makes some killer zipper-pulls for me. Way too much of a pain to put it all together. All of the separate parts were pretty straight forward...Outside and pockets. But sewing the narrow zipper and doing the final assembly with the binding was a session of obscenities at the machine. Thanks! Thank you. Tooled the bricks, then used a texturing tool, then brushed over with dye.
  5. I'm surprised to see this one still going. Benlilly1, thanks for adding the link to the video. I thought the video would be easier to understand than just pics & words. I don't use anything underneath the leather to trim, but if whatever works for you is perfect. There's not really a "right or wrong way" to do anything. Thanks for the feedback, everyone. I just got myself a shiney new HD handycam for Christmas, so I am going to try to make some more videos. Thanks again! KK
  6. Six pieces from scratch today. Three sharks, a hippo, cow and one merino sheep. I think I'll take a couple days off. Have a great Christmas everyone!
  7. Thanks! Ya, it starts out as white 100% poly and I transfer the image via dye sublimation. I gives my pieces that extra custom touch. Thank you.
  8. Thank you! This one was fun. Notice the clear vinyl for the goggles? I used a scratch awl for the cracks rather than using stitching. It's a subtle detail, but is more apparent in person. If you are referring to the lining, I make them custom in-house. Notice it is a repeated pattern of the second tattoo. Thanks again! KK
  9. I always love it when people give my work as gifts. Here's one that obviously has some special meaning to it. Tattoos.... Wallet...
  10. Thank you. But I don't really see myself as any better than anyone else. There is some amazing work on the forum that I don't know how to do. I have drifted off a bit, but it's mainly because of my workload keeping me off of the forum and on the work bench. There's a box? I think one thing that works for me is the fact that I really don't know what I'm doing. I think that is where a lot of new ideas come from. Thanks again! KK
  11. Thanks again for the compliments. Thank you! I so sew some project by hand, like sheaths and what-not, but I use a machine (Juki DNU1541) on all of the intricate designs and construction of wallets. I'd be lost without that machine. Thank you. I think it adds that additional personal touch to a piece. It might as well be just as cool to look at inside as it is outside. I make them in-house using dye sublimation. Thanks again! KK

    New Logo Tattoo

    That would be dangerous.

    New Logo Tattoo

About 3 years ago I had this tattoo of my logo started. Long story short, things happened that have delayed it being finished. Finally was able to get some more work done on it.
  14. Thanks for the compliments. Sometimes I have a plan, but most of the time I just use what I have on-hand at the time. There are times people want certain colors here and there, but for the most part these things make themselves...I'm just there to help em along. I use 69 thread.
  15. Try it now. It was way better with music.
  16. Poop. Never had this problem before. Working on it now. Killing the cool music now. It'll let me watch it, but I'm uploading new boring version now.
  17. Some of the parts of binding the edge are hard to explain in writing, so I made a video for you. In this video I am making a small badge/ID holder, but it's the same process with whatever you might be making. Hope you enjoy.
  18. Thanks. I never get to have anything cool. So I splurged on myself. Got the green stuff from John Fong.
  19. So, after years of carrying one of my models in blank brown veg-tan, I decided I should be carrying something that better reflects most of my work. I made this wallet to sell, but after a couple of days of looking at it I decided to "buy" it myself. Now when anyone asks to see an example of my work, I can show them a true custom piece. It's black hippo with my 'Dos Crusas' design in toxic green lizard inlayed in black cowhide and featuring my toxic KKL logo lining.
