  3. Talfuchre, being a knifemaker who makes his own sheaths, I must say , that is a very good design. I really like the ring and belt loop design Good Job. Trav PS. like Suze said, the background is nice too.

    Johanna,thanks for the reply. My copy does not have the price tag, but i would bet that we have a book that has much more value than the original.Anyway, i am happy to have my copy. There is much good info. inthis one.BTW, any recomendations for other books to look for ? Trav
  6. Just received a book from a guy whom i didnt know, but he was cleaning out an old house. Said he was told that I was learning to do leather work. ANYWAY, the book is titled "LEATHERWORK MANUAL'', written by AL Stohlman,A.D. Patten,and J.A. Wilson.Book was published in 1969. Book is in excellent condition. Do any of you know the last two authors? Trav

  10. Hello all, my question is ,do any of you have a decorative stitch you could share? I build custom knives and most of my stitching consist of the two needle saddle stitch. I also use a single needle to do a running stitch ,such as when you skip every other punch hole. Any suggestions are much appreciated. Thanks , Trav

    I have some new stamps from HC which are a little better than Tandy.I want to improve them, if I can, by removing the chrome plating. Anyone have an idea about doing this? Trav

    Anyone know how to get hidecrafters to deliver??? I have order the same items twice. Both times I have talked to a very nice lady whom i THOUGHT would get the order out quickly.After a month i think they are not going to do anything. Do they read anything on this forum? anyone else have this problem? Trav
  16. the left and right twist for a machine is because one is used on the bobbin and the other is used for the top threading. I have an American straight needle that sew a lock stitch and these are what i use Trav
