  1. Thanks for the heads up... I was going for darker shades, Tandy is forever away and im at the mercy of their shipping, lol
  2. Using my mad scientist skills I made a dye using rubbing alcohol, food coloring and liquid pectin to raise.the viscosity to my liking, im not the measuring cup type of guy, so I don't know the ratios that would yield the best results, But it was roughly half a bottle of alcohol to Two pouches of pectin, with enough mixed food coloring to get the color I wanted, only tested on small scraps, will update with more results and photos
  3. I pulled apart my yoke on my lot knife, shortened it to fit my small hands and gave it a polish, it spins like it has bearings now
  4. Some work with a modeling tool would give the cars face a little more definition, or you could try a hair texture, looks good though Cats*
  5. Cool art work, wallet looks very professional...awesome
  6. My father wanted me to make him a belt sheath for his folder. He wasnt too particular about details so I just ran with what came to me. I wanted to do some tooling, but the limited space meant it had to be small...small details have kicked my butt so far, but not being easily deterred, I figured I'd try a small wolf head. All in all I'd say im fairly happy with the end product. I still need to,figure out how to properly start and end this damn edge braid, though! Lol...opinions and critiques appreciated!
  7. Im a Welder/fabricator by trade....I'd be willing to fab the metal housings for you for free...not much time or material into them...Id just.ask that you pay for shipping....
  8. I've attached pictures to demonstrate the stitching sequence...after I've Done a fee to get me going well call the first pic a starting point....go under the last stitch on the backside....next go through the next lace hole from the front, out of the back....lace under previous front stitch...around second stitch back on front side and Beneath all stitches coming out the the.back....around second stitch on backside and under last stitch on back side to come back to our starting point
  9. Going through each hole once....I'll post a pic when I get home....lacing holes were done with a chisel made at work using ss tig filler wire, the tines are 3/32 diameter flattened slightly and double beveled and the spacing rods between tines are 1/8, so laid all together it makes the spacing slightly less than an 1/8 because the two.diameters are slightly offset from the center line from laying flat on the table when I tacked them up
  10. Yeah....between 9 and 10 times length....8 inches or so took about 45 mins using an Awl in slightly undersized holes for a Good lace fit...is there anywhere i could find more info on it that you know of?
