hello everyone! iam wondering if there are any pfaff specialists out there, i really like the pfaff 1245 model flat beds but have a couple of questions, are the white head models still made in germany?this is the square model,are they better or worse than the previous green/grey models?anyone better than the other?

My question was primarily for the control of the the brushless motors, does Toledo sell brushless motors?Are they better?Anybody use them?opinions??

Greg do you have a larger hand wheel than the factory installed on the PFAFF 1245?

Is this a brushless motor? Do brushless motors have more control? Is the FS550 big enough for the Cb4500?

im having a heck of a time with this machine,on 2 layers of chap the underside shows the knot played with the tension till i wound it right in!!!is the tension spring worn?it seems to like it there but it looks weird for it to be wound in all the way, do you guys think this is normal?i didnt want to touch the bobim seems fine do i have to play with tension with different types and thickness of leather?

Can anyone help?This particular leather has alot of wax coming off of it is it because the hide is drying out and or old?Maybe old stock does it deteriorate? looks good but concerning about the wax any ideas?Thanks for any replies?

I have been using a left toe foot on my pfaff 1245, but when I use a firmer temp leather it marks the top, do they make smooth feet? or should I grind the ridges and polish it? am I going to loose presser foot pressure or feeding issues?

Heres another question, does anybody leave material under the presser foot while the machine is not being used?Will it damage, wear anything?

Im specifically asking for the adler 205-370 will the presser foot stay up while winding?I am waiting to get the manual hope iot shows it,.and it does have the winder attached to the side

There has to be a correct way of filling bobbins, I have been told not to let the presser foot ride the throat plate while filling,is this right?will it damage something?Is this the case for all machines?
