  1. I open the editor type my words, scroll down and select photo to upload, the older upload app photo uploads then disappears I then submit and only text shows up. With the other newer upload app option the photo uploads the bar shows done but the activity wheel keeps rotating up to ten minutes before I finally cancelled it as again only text shows up. I have tried full size and reducing the size to about 650kb still nothing. It may be my mac running the newest firefox or maybe some obscure setting somewhere I am at a bit of a loss so far.
  2. try again, failed again, everything seems to work but no photo, shucks!

  5. . Hmmm something def wrong, things been whirling for 5 minutes to upload a photo 4.63mb in size, old uploader does nada! Made it 624.53 Kb still twirling maybe it is that I am using a Mac with firefox.
  6. Mostly BMW and Honda

  7. Here is a sheath I completed the day before last. I used Gerd Jorgensen's site as a jumping off point then just did my own thing. I know it has been a long time 2yrs maybe since I have posted but what the hay life gets in the way sometimes. There is a carved pine insert to protect the blade and leather and I used smoke black and prairie tan all in one for the finish. Dang it the pics did not post, I will figure it out and get them on here as soon as I can
  8. I have always dyed first and finished any edges (burnish) then a light coating of olive oil (not extra virgin unless you like the stronger odor) and buff it real good. Apply more coats for darker and softer finish. Also darkens in direct sunlight. There are many ways to do stuff, this one makes me happy.
  9. Veg oil will go rancid eventually, regular olive oil will not
  10. Not true, they do give a damn, just notify them and they will deal with it.
  11. been a long time, dropped in to say hello

  12. Tormek T-7 will sharpen just about anything. Also an advert in a woodcarving magazine shows a machine with hardwood disks that match tool profiles I forget the name though.
  13. Just a note, I found that mine works better with the rough side facing out, takes rouge better and seems to put a polished edge on the tool faster than smooth side out.
  14. A Tandy class for learning the tools and how to use them, then a pattern some tools and some leather, then jump in and do it. You can always re-purpose the leather if you mess up, which you will LOL. The 3 book set on making leather cases is a great reference, find them on sale every few months. Also the book on tools uses and sharpening them is good. Sharp is very important as to quality looks of the end product. Don't worry about buying a bunch of tools as you will eventually.
  15. Cool, it makes really nice impressions
  16. Very nice, I have a much smaller space but I also do not have all those tools so I compete with the cars and stuff crammed in my garage and workshop/utility room. Looks as though you will be working leather for quite some time to defray the costs of all that stuff. LOL
  17. Discount tool house like harbor freight for an Arbor press that may be able to be modified to set rivets grommets and the like, would cut down on the need to pound.
  18. Her words were something like, she found he has been posting to ebay or something. Not sure but that sounds as if she thinks he is reselling what she sent him. Could be wrong though as it is sometimes hard to decipher a sentence like that. Jordan
  19. Really to bad, The reselling of info on feebay indicates he is a crook and you will not see a penny. Maybe turn him in for selling copy protected stuff, if it is. Or otherwise make his existence miserable. Probably not worth the trouble, and as was said earlier people will disappoint. It is real hard work to do the right thing all the time, that's why some don't.
  20. I tried one recently, glued a piece of rubberized shelf lining to the back to stiffen it up some and prevent it from sliding around. Doesn't work very well, I think it may be the leather surface imperfections affecting the way the mouse moves the cursor around, kind of jerky.
  21. Thanks for all the responses, I fixed it for the time being with a short piece of rubber fuel line stuck on the broken part and a small threaded knob that extends out of the cover. But I also found that the threaded collar that holds the part on the motor is stripped so it is temporary at best a drop of thread lock helped. seems to work but is very touchy and has only a small area that actually changes the rpm's to adjust to very slow speed.
  22. I imagine they do, but I bought the machine a few years back from Ed Santoro a fellow member, so I don't think my machine qualifies, due to me not being the original owner.
