  1. Thanks JimiNice PDF to go with the machine, great discription. That sales brochure was aimed at manufacturers, touting capabilities of the machine for particular industries. The picture shows a mechanism above the faceplate, that my machine doesn't have. My machine has a thread guide leading to the primary tensioner, look at my pictures above.
  2. Evo The 91756 feed dog is in the 45k53 manual,General purpose which I'm pretty sure is the one on my machine. The 91422 isn't in my manual. Is there any numbers on the tension assembly parts ,like the discs or thread roller(one looks like a primary ,the other a secondary. Thre presser bar gripping bracket is in my manual, and on the picture of the machine on cover of manual, but muy machine doesn't have it,sews great without it. Do you know what it does?
  3. Evo, do you have the part #'s for the feed dogs, and are the tension assemblies still available.I'm trying to chase down an oil box for you. Frank
  4. Nice find, would you know if the feed Dogs would fit a 45K,I think they would if they came off a 104-8 which is the same feed as my K53.Could you let me know the offset of the mounting to the feed dog. I'm interested in the feet. $?
  5. Constabulary, I would be interested to see the Adler 5 presser feet.Pretty sure they would fit. Attached is a new Standard presser I made,a photo of the machine and a Little LCP holster I sewed off with the Machine. I won't be using it for holsters, but since I got the new feet made and it sewed straight,I figured I would try it on a holster.\
  6. The previous pictures wouldn't open
  7. Attached is the new left Presser I made for the K53,also a pic of the one that came with it. The one that came with it is Bronze, the new one is 6061-T65 Alloy, about twice the tensile. Works like a charm, feeds very well. Also working on a regular presser, just have to machine the needle slot. and a new needle plate/feed plate is a work in progress Attached is the new left Presser I made for the K53,also a pic of the one that came with it. 9. Won't the pressers from a GA5 fit the K25
  10. If i make a few I will rough out some Blanks for the K53 and finish them as I need them.I'll let you know if I decide to do that.To those that are considerably more Knowledgeable than me,would it be possible to machine a new presser bar,and finish the end to take more common pressers?
  11. looking for Presser Foot for 45K53.The machine I purchased has one, would like a few I could modify left/Right.Constabulary had some Adler pcs for sale which would have fit,but those are sold.Any Ideas would be appreciated, before I spend a weekend on the Bridgeport.
  12. The feed dogs and needle plate look unique to the machine, the presser looks the same as a 45K58
  13. It's a perfect candidate for a Resto,I'll post som pictures soon, serial # is 1916 I'll let you you know on the feed dogs, still searching a manual
  14. That's the one shoepatcher ,she really wanted it gone.she threw in The skirting, that's one of those have to have
  15. Thanks Geneva, got that one. I can find K52,k54 Hendersons manuals in the Uk. It looks similar to the K56 cylinder/K58 Flatbed
  16. I found this video of a 45K58 flatbed. The feed is the same as the 45K53 ,is that the flatbed version of the K53
  17. Well,I purchased this machine. The seller knew nothing about it,it was her husbands, and had been in storage for 10 years. When it was put in storage it was lubrcated well.It does sew,by hand, and is really in excellent condition.Has a clutch motor. A couple of hundred bucks ,one of those had to have, and the owner threw in a couple of sides of saddle skirt. The feed system is as Bob described,no marking at all. Would anyone have any manuals on this machine, seems to be very rare Thanks
  18. I am working with some kids to teach basics. Belts are the easiest thing which they can sell handily for a small markup and replenish their supplies and put some money in their pockets Trying to teach a little Biz sense. For stitching I have a GA5, drop feed ,45K clone I let them use.The problem is being drop feed, you need experience ,and a feel to get consistent results with it. I was thinking the 45K53 with the upper, lower feed would be a little more fool proof, i can pick it up reasonably,ad a servo and good to go.Also a 100 yr old machine would ad a little nostalgia to their learning experience. There is virtually nothing out there for info on the K53
  19. Bob,is it worth a couple of hundred bucks.it does sew
  20. 45K53 Industrial Independent upper and lower feeds - either suspendable. Speed 500. For general saddlery, footballs, bags. etc. (12/49) 214x4 and 214x12 and 214x22 I pulled this from Singer ISMAC's comprehensive list. Are presser feet available for this, and are any other parts in general available. Thanks
  21. Does anybody have experiance with this machine. The comprehensive list says it's an independent upper/lower feed, which can be disengaged. What kind of upper feed does it have? Thaks
  22. How about $745.00, this machine is near new,the fella I bought it from hadn't even even assembled the machine,I added the servo and the speed reducer. Videos
  23. I would sell just the head for someone that has a table, $500.00 plus shipping I would sell just the head for $500.00 + shipping.
