  1. Thanks Cammid A lot of straps I do are double thick,5+5 or 6+6 oz,gun belts. When the Two pcs are glued back to back I don't get any stretch. I'll try the contact for single layer. Frank Franks Classic Leather
  2. We have the one you put the strap through twice. What a Time saver, and a quality finish. Best $275.00 you could ever spend.A must for heavy straps, you need the bigger blades.

will any of these embossing rolls work on the Tandy embossing machine?

I'm pretty sure the Tandy embosser only works with brass/bronze embossing rolls.Won't work with the bunkhouse tools dies.

  4. I have a Tippmann Aerostitch for sale. It's listed on eBay. http://www.ebay.com/itm/172118377071?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 It's been a great machine,we just need the room in the shop. It's the model with Needle down and reverse. Asking $1650.00 or make me an offer
  5. The Ferdco 1010 is the same as the Techsew GB6-180-2.Im sure Ron from Techsew has what you need. This is a video of the same machine, https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=WvWVWZjWOB4 Here's is a forum link http://leatherworker.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=4284
  6. We have a Techsew 5100 and are looking for a second 441 type machine. All of the sellers on this site are being considered,I have heard nothing but good feed back about all of them, and we are very happy with the machine we have( purchased 2nd hand,(almost new) I have a question,Recently also looked at a Toro 3200,midsize? The sellers claims that the machine can sew from 69-415 without major adjustment (i.e. Shuttle) just tension. We have tried 69-136 with our current machine and it is somewhat hit and miss. Has anyone had experience with this particular machine and lighter weight materials.Setup, quality of stitch ect. Thanks

    Ferdco 1010

I like it better with the top bottom feed. With veg tanned the points show, with chrome or finished they don't. When using top bottom,If you slow the bottom you can maintain good stitch length on radius's. It's a good solid machine,I'm sure it was a favorite for decorative shoe upper sewing, strap finishing ect

If someone wanted the sewing machine only, $500.00 (head) A great upgrade for anyone with a 45k25,the jump foot makes the 45k a more useful machine. Shipping would probably be around $75.00,complete with crating

    Ferdco 1010

This is a Ferco 1010. It is is marked 2000,probably a predecessor to the 441, 2000. It sews excellent. This machine is like New condition, and runs like a new machine.I got it from a fella that had it in storage. You might say this is a Ferdinand Baby Bull on steroids. where the Baby is 11" compound feed, this is a 16" compound and walking foot, with Reverse. It has servo and speed reducer, table is immaculate. The feed dogs and pressers have been polished. This machine is the same as the Techsew 180-2, Here are the Specifications: Maximum Sewing Thickness: 3/4" Needle Type: 7 x 1 or 794 Needle Sizes: 22 to 28 Thread Sizes: 138 to 415 Presser Foot Clearance: 7/8" (22mm) Sewing Area: 16" Maximum Stitch Length:10 mm Servo Motor: 800W, 1 HP, 110V, $1700.00 I will Crate it. 18. Darren Checking around it is a gb6-180-2 ,the same as the 180 machine sold by Techsew, I have included pictures,it is marked as a Ferdco Super Bull Pro 2000,Probably a predecessor to the 441 super 2000 This machine is immaculate,I doubt it has any time on it at all. It sews well, one of those where I happen to be there, so I took it.
  19. Would anyone have a parts, ops manual for A Ferdco 1010. This is a top/bottom feed 16"'heavy duty cylinder arm machine. Also would anyone know who's throat plate, feed dog and pressers they used. Could the throat plate be off a GA5? I just picked one up for next to nothing, appears to be almost new,it was in storage for many years, sews real well. Would just like to have a spare set or feed dogs and pressers I could polish up. Thanks
  20. Thought I would post this, for those looking for an entrance grade splitter. Great priced splitter. https://www.tandyleatheroutlet.com/p-383-pro-splitter-wextra-blade.aspx
  21. Grew up in Boston,Visited the original Frye factory when I was a youngster (1960's). I remember the conveyors moving the unfinished hides through an area with automated spray arms, and then heated blowers. First clicker I saw was in the cutting area, didn't know what it was at the rime, there were a lot of them. Too young to notice types of sewing machines, sewing was all freehand, hundreds. They had an outlet store in the Marlboro plant. I think my engineer boots cost about 8 bucks . https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Frye_Company
