  1. Thank you for your input!!! Thanks for the tip on that raw hide!
  2. Thank you everyone! These are great tips and I am so appreciative of your time and thoughtful answers =)
  3. Thank you for the heads up. I certainly was thinking very thin on inside pockets and heavier on wallet body. Thanks and hoping others will chime in as well. Thanks!
  4. Still for sale? Is shipping out of the question? I need to cut variations of 1.25", 1.5" and 1.75" strap of 8-10oz veg tan. Please let me know if maybe you will reconsider shipping. I am in L.A. 90731...Thanks!
  5. HI everyone, I am looking to make a leather wallet. What is the ideal "oz" weight to purchase for a good quality wallet? I am thinking 3-4 Oz? Something that won't fight a credit card from sliding in but will also be durable. Thank you for the feedback. I truly appreciate it!
  6. If you live in Los Angeles area and want to apprentice in my leather gun belt shop, please PM me. Looking for someone passionate about leather work, high standards and is willing to learn. If you have experience that is a major plus but not essential.
  7. Honestly, Im diggin' that! Great job! Feels good knowing you went out and made one! Looks like great craftsmanship went into it and two thumbs up from me! Loving the leather straps too!!!
  8. I'm think I went a bit too thick on this and so the pliability isn't ideal. It works great, but next time I won't apply the liner. I think something with a maximum total of 4-6 oz is ideal. I bought this drum dyed. As far as I know it is a veg tan. But I think there is a market for these aprons that is extremely untapped. Making these and marketing them to wood workers I think would be a great niche business if one is willing to hang tough for a few years in order to gain some fans and bring awareness to the niche. My two cents...
  9. Sorry guys machine is SOLD. Thank you for your time. I recommend getting one if you can. Very nice to have as a luxury. Not so much-----> a necessity. Learning curve is minimal. very easy to use...
  10. New Leather apron I made for my shop and also grilling. I think it came out well. Straps and inside of apron is lined with Nubuck. I will be changing a few design aspects on next one, but hope you enjoy it and go make one for yourself. By the way, I am looking for an apprentice in L.A. area if you know anyone!
  11. Quick question? How much would you all retail this bag at? I am now offering it and trying to find my price. I have about 60 hours of labor and $200 in materials in it.Thanks!
  12. HI! No, I actually got some scraps and its embossed basket weave. Bought all the scrap they had =)
  13. That is amazing! Just now saw all the comments but will post my bag. I had a friend with a Harley and bags to go with it show me this same type of setup. It worked great!!! Thank you!!!
  14. New Bag I finished for a customer. Its not for everyone, but he asked for it and it came out nice I think. False buckle with parachute clip behind buckle strap. So buckle is secured but it quick releases which is cool.
  15. I just really like the contrast of the black basketweave on the Chocolate brown. I always like to try different things that others don't do. Not that others don't blend the two colors, but the bag itself is very unique. I just have fun with it. I always remind myself that when I am not having fun in my project..it ALWAYS reflects in the work. ALWAYS.
  16. Hi that is copper which I love! Its beautiful and the most durable rivet out there IMO hand down!
  17. Hi everyone! Need any advice I can get. I am making this bag for a gentleman and he wants a false buckle. I have attached photos of what I am working with. Two straps (one on each side) that have a buckle attached but a magnet underneath that is what closes the bag. The buckle is just for looks which is what he asked for. The magnet underneath magnetizes to the spiked studs. But after doing this I realized that once he holds the handle that it will open and the magnets will not be strong enough to bear the weight. What is my solution here? Open to ideas but really would rather not place any plastic hardware on this bag, if possible. Thank you for your help!!!!
