Some racing exhaust valves are filled with sodium because it helped in quicker dissipation of heat, these arent very common anymore and very seldom used in production cars.

Mike, could you post a pic of the tools themselves? Are they larger diameter than craftools?

I just started tooling a new seat, if I gotta say so myself it really came out good. I would like to do something different for a finish, actually id really like to leave it natural can you guys give some advice on this, Id like to antique parts of it and still have a natural finish. Im not sure how to go about this, I have a jar of natural paste anitique that ive never tried, is this what this is used for? Also what would i use to seal and finish with. Its still a little damp from molding it thats why its discolored in the pic.

Is it just me or is it really hard to get a clean pattern with Tandy tri weave stamps? No matter how hard i try it seems the tool itself prevents a good crisp design. I know there has to be a reason for the major difference in prices between tandy stamps and other makers. Is the difference worth the price? Any suggestions on a good Tri Weave?

Thanks guys, any suggestion on a good lace cutter

Anyone know where to get 5/32 or 1/4 inch smooth leather lace, other than kangaroo? I had a bunch of spools of 5/32 from texas lace comp. but it appears they are no longer in business. Rick

What Id like to do is use neetsfoot oil to finish a piece, I see a lot of saddles and gun belts that are finished this way without dye. Im wondering if its possible to do a finish like this but also to use antique? If so would i antique and the use the oil? Do I need to seal the antique in some way before the oil bath?
