Stop Leather From Stretching While Carving

I like to use clear shipping tape double thick on the backside of the leather. -
That's one of the greatest translations ever!

It all depends on what I'm working on and need to achieve. Even though I have a few sewing machines I still do a lot of hand sewing. I'm interested in what you have in mind..

Welcome to the world of Christian Clayton. I did a bunch of seats for them over the last couple years and finally just quit answering the phone. It's not worth it. I had to go there the last time but did get paid. It's best for everyone to just stay away and they will eventually vanish. Christian has run what was once a great company, when Donny and Jeff owned it, into the ground.

Schwabe clicker. Was pulled working out of a shop a year and a half ago. Three phase 220 so it was never hooked up at my place. Located in Lake Elsinore, CA. 1000$. duane@dbcustomleather.com

Thanks Art. Wasn't sure. Looked on the net and couldn't find an answer besides thread size #40 - #8 whatever that means. That and a video on youtube showing someone sewing with some pretty heavy stuff but hard to tell what from a video. Thanks, Duane

I would fix it. If it bothers you then it's worth fixing. Don't put anything out that you wouldn't want for yourself. -
Sold. Headed to Kentucky. Thanks.

I have one I've never used for anything. Got it from a buddy of mine that bought it brand new and he never used it either. All I've ever done it run a piece of scrap through it to see how it worked. Sews fine just no need for it. Comes with dvd, manual, extra needles, tools, etc. that came with it new. Asking 850. duane@dbcustomleather.com 603-781-7505

Well first the Tejas calfskin lace turned into absolute garbage. That I found a new supplier here for in California. One that makes it in house and it's very high quality. Now the Tejas Superior Latigo Lace has the strength of a wet paper towel. What do you use as a supplier for your latigo lace. I want STRONG and consistent. The Tejas stuff would have a hard time being any worse than it is.

I'm in Lake Elsinore. It is about seventy miles North of San Diego.

Easily the nicest sewing machine I've ever used. Steve is a class act. His work, word, and machines are second to none.

Hey Eric, Thanks for the nice words about my work. I use a modeling spoon ALOT! That was dyed basically how they explained to you but I didn't use a block. Just a rag by hand. Thanks, Duane
