  5. Daune, thanks for the response!! You've really given me something to strive for man, the way you incorporate your art into leather was something I had envisioned doing with my own artwork but hadn't actually seen till coming across your site, well done!
  6. I agree on the height my dad wanted it that way so he could grip the handle to pull it out better,, we turned the holster upside down with the gun in it and it stayed put but I guess time will tell lol, the stitches are in a channel and the area inside of all stitching was super glued.
  7. Hey ray, Thanks for the response, I did case it althought I'm not sure if it was done correctly, I used a sponge to wet the front and back then made my cuts, taped it then did the tooling, I don't believe I wet it again after taping, should I have? And do I let the color return almost to normal like when cutting?? Also this was a crappy piece my cat had scratched up lol I didn't think it would turn out well so I used it Thanks!! Eric

  11. thank you Kate!!, how would I achieve the sharper edges etc?? using what tool? I'm pretty clueless, I got a whole bunch of tools off eBay and have no idea how to use most of them correctly, I do know the names, just not totally sure the correct way to utilize them

  13. I'm new to leatherwork, and tooling especially, but come from a fine art background and his work just really struck a chord with me, I was just blown away. I like the style alot! Heres a crappy cell phone photo of my first tooling attempt on a wallet, any critiques would be appreciated

  20. ok guys and gals due to popular demand here is my first watchband, its simple but keep in mind its only the 2nd thing I've made, the first being a plain cuff. critiques and comments are encouraged and welcomed. and yes I did use a snap instead of a loop for the "tongue" Eric

    Lace

I need some lace for some cuffs and watchbands Im making, and I'm not quite sure what I need, I got some 1/8 latigo lace from a local craft store and while its the correct width, it seems "rough" and it seems too thick, compared to ones I've seen on the forum. I could be wrong about it seeming too thick but when I tried lacing the edge of a cuff it looks overly bulky. Thanks for any info!! Eric
  22. Hey Ryan, nice website and very nice leatherwork! I agree with some of the other guys, overall very easy to navigate, but larger photos, and price ranges would be nice. Eric
