  2. Thank you Alex, big fan of your work man, I dig the designs on your cuffs. I read the eco dyes will run if they get wet, is this true or do you have to seal them some way?? also whats a decent airbrush, I have a compressor. Eric
  3. Thanks so much Kate, I love your work by the way, your amazing!! so would a ratio of 1/1 be too much or do you just judge by the color of he dye before applying it? also I dont have any of the antiqueing stuff does tandy carry that? is it a dye or finisher and what does it do exactly??? thanks again Eric
  4. So I've done my first two projects and they went pretty well thanks to you guys. My big question is the dye, is there a ratio for reducing and any easy ways to mix the dye and reducer? also I bought reducer from tandy can I use anything else to reduce? I'm using fiebings dye, non eco, and the swabs to apply the dye (which leaves "streaks" anyway to avoid these???) Thanks in advance Eric
  5. sweet liner man, and I love the way you did the snap, nice work! E
  6. man Kevin, def ones of my faves brotha! love the color choices and design Eric and Freak I think he said he uses a Juki 1541
  7. Ive read its used as a cleaner before dyeing, the ratio I read is 1 tablespoon crystals to 1 quart water. In higher concentrations they say it will bleach the leather.
  8. YEAH ELEPHROG!!! once again nicely done my good man lol I dig the blue stitching E
  9. Amazing work! those cuffs rock, do you mind me asking what weight leather you used for them and what types of snaps? I need to order snaps for my first cuff and Im not sure what to use for what weight.
  10. Hey all, I'm working on my first cuff style watchband and Im wondering how to smooth out the rough flesh side?? thanks in advance Eric
  11. Just use the old school wheel barrow inner tube method on top of your seat, just be careful with the valve stem placement lol

  13. Thank you so much for the reply!!!
  14. Hey all, First let me thank everyone for all the help and great advice, I purchased a few books and a set of tools, and I have a few family members brave enough for me to make them a few items. I still need leather, dyes, finishes, and some thread. The tools I bought seem fairly complete with tools, needles etc I will include a photo, my question is where would be the best place and/or places to order my supplies, and what weight/type leather? I would like to exp with few diif dyes so what would be good starter colors? I'm going to begin with the following items: belt (2) cell phone case (2) biker wallet (tri-fold) (2) biker vest watchband (wide cuff style) Thanks in advance!! Eric
  15. Once again you come with some great work Kevin! I dig the red stitching man.

  19. Ryan, I'm a professional photog and the rebel is a good camera if you have the right lens, for the money the 50mm prime lens is a great deal at around 80 bucks, being prime it doesnt zoom in or out, but it can give you great depth of field for "blurring out the background" I believe the aperture goes down to 1.4 so you can get photos in lower light conditions, and at lower ISOs so there less noisy. Hope this helps Eric
