    Mask on Mask

That's so cool. Everything I make is pretty much flat, maybe I should enter the 3rd dimension just like that great/awful movie 'Tron'. Mental note: learn molding and don't watch crap 1980s films.

Mighty handsome looking things, thanks for sharing.
  3. Man that cobra is so baddarse cool I went back for a second look and zoomed the screen in 400% for MAXIMUM VIEWING POWER!!!
  4. Thanks everyone for your words. Hopefully now I've got a show piece I might open up a new market for some extra cash which would be cool since they are so fun to make. The only problem being it took ages to make so I'll probably end up charging $4 an hour. I'll be trying to sell a seat that could be more expensive than the whole bike. Won't be quitting my day job in a hurry!! When the rain stops I'll be out there polishing the seat with my butt in the Melbourne traffic. Thanks guys.
  5. Here's a couple of snaps of my bike seat I've finished over Easter. I've done a bunch of wallets and belts but this has been my most challenging project and despite any flaws I was just wrapped that it worked and I didn't rip up my seat in vain. Special thanks to RockyWolf & ChaChi for their advice I needed a little nudge to get started. I'll have to make another cause I'm sure I could do better next time.....of course nothing ever looks as good as it could next time.
  6. Excellent stuff, I've got a lot to look forward to learning.
  7. Your planks are cool, squeaky floorboards. I don't mind a little roughness round the edges just makes it look handmade.
  8. Man you're a clever cookie. It looks really good I especially like the filagree real classical look nice and symetrical. Did you use any books as a reference when you drew it or is it all stored up in your noggin. I've always got my eye out for books to improve my drawing.
  9. I think you've sold it to me. Does it make different width lace or is it standard? woops... just read your link 'Cuts 7 widths in up to 8 oz. leather.' Sounds good I'll put it on that never ending things I need list.
  10. Love the skulls especially the long eyed ones.
  11. Hiya, They look great. I might try making some of those myself since they'd make a great gift for my beer swilling relatives and friends.
  12. Thanks heaps, man that bike looks great. imagine getting it up the hill with a 60kg person next to you, you'd have to get them to get out and push. I just got to wait for my insomnia to kick in and I'll launch into my seat. My stitching and tooling skills are OK, this is about my 30th. project which is not very much and everything else has been wallets & belts so I'm new to molding and making anything 3D. Being self taught I've got a long way to go but I seem to manage to churn stuff out. Now I just got to wreck a perfectly good seat -what fun- like the phoenix it'll rise from the ashes either that or crash and burn. Thanks again.
  13. If I can do one half as good as that I'd be wrapped -Pauly
  14. Excuse my clumsyness I'm still working out how to use this chat site...computers easy to use only when you know what your doin'. I've tried to upload a couple of picks of my beloved pushy. You can just see the seat, when I've got a minute in the daylight I'll photograph the seat properly. I've made grips one says 'love' the other 'hate' just like the finger tattoos only doesn't hurt as much. I do a lot of drawing, always have and leatherwork has given me a practical means of getting my stuff out in peoples daily lives. I like old etchings especially by Durer (spooky stuff) scrimshaw and tattoo. I'm thinking Tiki mask and jungle foliage for my seat in tan to match the grips.
  15. Hi there! I'd love to make myself a seat for my cruiser bicycle but I'm a bit daunted by the task and not sure where to begin. Wallets and belts are one thing, this seems harder. I was planning on covering the existing fabric seat. If someone could give a quick rundown on how they'd tackle it, when to mold, when to tool, how to attach to seat etc. I'd be most appreciative. Thanks. Pauly
