I seen on here somewhere, some time ago. A guy made a press by welding a hydraulic bottle jack on to a metal constructed frame. I really liked the idea but cant seem to find it again? Anybody know who posted it or possibly remember it? Maybe ya'll can guide me to it. Thanks, Jim

Hello, I have been a member on this site for a few years now. I still, to this day am overwhelmed by the skill, talent, and knowledge found here. I recently acquired some Leather Machines. However, I have never operated ANY type of sewing machine. I was hoping that somebody out there could share a little knowledge. I was told the Durkopp worked but needs to be "timed"? As far as the singers go, no idea? I dont even know where to begin as far as checking them. Does anyone know where to optain repair,operating, manuals? Any info will be appreciated. Hey John, I did try a lighter weight leather at first. 2/3oz. I tlooked really good but I think it was too flimsy. The customer kinda thought the same. Thanks for your advice, maybe nest time around I'll try the lighter weight over the reel then the heavier on the ends?
