Artisan Toro 3000 for sale. It is in very good condition with an estimated 15-16 hours of use. I purchased it in 2008 and mainly used it for holsters and belts. It is a 9"cylinder, lockstitch, compound needle feed, walking foot stitching machine. It includes the pedestal stand, servo motor with speed reducer, a left side presser foot, bobbin winder, three bobbins, roller edge guide and light. A few extra needles and around 1/4 of a spool of black 277 thread is included. It is located in Savannah, MO, about 60 miles north of Kansas City. Sorry, no shipping. You pick up. $1200 firm. For the flat backed holster pattern, I would agree with what BigRiverLeather posted. I have been experimenting with a somewhat similar IWB pattern and process in that the front pattern is around .5" longer than the backside. For me, this type of pattern gives you some benefits of the comfort of a flat backed holster with the concealability of a pancake style. The trigger guard of the gun is centered to the back wing of the holster, allowing it to help pull the grip into your back, while the front is wrapped over the front of the gun, helping it give a nice, natural curved fit to the hip. When done this way, I wouldn't call it a true flat backed holster, though. It is more of a hybrid between the two styles. As BigRiverLeather stated, it does take longer, and is more difficult to work with. I have a thin waist and find that this style fits me better than anything I've made before and will make all my personal gear this way in the future.

Hey Sixer, I see your location is NW Mo. If you are near St. Joe, Hobby Lobby usually has a selection of Paasche and Iwata air-brushes. They are way overpriced, though, unless you get the 40% off coupon that is in the sunday paper every week or two.

Jimbob - I just use hot, soapy water immediately after I'm finished using the air-brush. So far that has worked just fine. I use about 40-42 psi when spraying the acrylic finish, and around 30-35 psi when using dye. I only use the air-brush to apply a final top-coat for both the dye and finish. I prefer to dip the holsters for the main application of both dye and acrylic finish.
