The information about Biker Radio Magazine was not included in my above posting of the press release because it was not in the press release itself. Thank you for mentioning the interview as I am sure it is something that Wayne is very proud of. Here is more updated information in regards to Wayne Christensen: In February 2008, Wayne was a part of Biker Radio Magazine’s radio show entitled “The Leather Show”. During the episode Wayne shared with listeners how to work with leather to add it to their bike in a personal way. GREAT pix Clay, There are some pictures of the different items in the leather debut that I particularly like, can I download and save them? There are also couple of pictures of Wayne's Saddle as well as one of Wayne Christensen from Standing Bear's, May I save these to my computer? Thank you Johanna, Here is the tool and supply information for the class... sorry it is late! Leather by WC Photo Transfer Class at Standing Bears Tool List ON Friday... All you need to bring is 2 pairs of tweezers. Sunday: Mallet Wing Divider Swivel Knife Modeling Spoon Beveler (checkered) Small Border Stamp: N309 or smaller, OR C770 or C428 camo tool to be used as border stamp. Medium to Large Border Stamp: D434 or similar Texture Stamp: E294 or similar Small and Medium Artist Paint Brush Standing Bear's will provide leather and backing board, picture for transfer, acrylic paint, stain, and finish If you are interested in taking the class - Space is limited, please call us for availability 818-342-9120

This months meeting of The Leathercraft Guild will be held at Standing Bear's Trading Post located at 7624 Tampa Avenue in Reseda, CA. from 1PM -4PM. For a Map and directions, visit http://www.sbearstradingpost.com/Location.html Directly following the business meeting those attending will be making leather weights with Wayne Christensen. Please bring a Veg-tan leather rounder that has been carved or stamped or a carved piece of veg-tan leather roughly 3" X 4" (Such as a half-back) as well as whatever tools you use to cut leather i.e. Head-knife, utility knife, exacto knife etc. Because of the short notice of the material needed for the project being done at this months meeting, IF you do not have a leather piece carved or stamped for the meeting Wayne will have a few to offer to those unable to bring one.

Standing Bear's Trading Post Announces New Leather Classes with Master Leather Craftsman and Owner Wayne Christensen Starting July 1, 2008 Standing Bear's Trading Post announces new leather classes with Master Leather Craftsman and Owner Wayne Christensen. Learn stamping, carving, coloring, finishing, assembly, customizing, and personalization along aside a Master Leather Craftsman. Reseda, CA (PRWEB) April 9, 2008 -- Standing Bear's Trading Post announces new leather classes with Master Leather Craftsman and Owner Wayne Christensen. Starting July 1, 2008 Standing Bear's Trading Post will begin new classes for students of all levels who want to learn or improve their leather crafting skills. Beginning classes will be held Tuesday and Thursday nights starting at 6 pm. Intermediate classes will be held on Monday nights starting a 6 pm, and Advance classes will be held Wednesday nights at 6pm. "Classes tend to fill up rather quickly," states student Sandi Taylor, who has been carving for 12 years and attends the advanced class. All classes teach you stamping, carving, coloring, finishing, assembly, customizing, and personalization. The Beginning classes, held Tuesday and Thursdays, focus on teaching you how to carve leather. By purchasing the Basic Kit for Leather Craft (priced at $60.00) the class is free for 6 months. The normal fee, if the student who has his or her own tools, is $20.00 a month. The Basic Kit includes 6 basic leather tools (beveler, camouflage tool, backgrounder, pear shader, veiner, and seeder), basic leather craft book, leather practice pieces, tracing film, swivel knife, jewelers rouge, leather strop, stylus, and mallet. The intermediate classes, held on Monday nights, focus on larger and more exciting projects. All materials needed for this can be purchased directly from the store. This class is for those who have completed the beginner's course or those who need a refresher. Instructor's fee is $20.00 a month. The Advanced Leather Craft Class, held on Wednesday nights, spends time working on intricate projects such as belts, purses, checkbooks, wallets, tool rack holder, photo albums, and more. Students pay for materials for project and the Instructors Fee is $20.00 a month Private classes are also available but are by appointment only. These classes are one-on-one classes and are held Friday evenings starting 6:30 pm, starting at $10 an hour with a four-hour minimum. WC of Leather by WC will be giving a 2-day class on the WC way of doing the Billy 2-shews picture transfer technique. The class will be held at Standing Bear’s Trading Post on Friday April 25th from 6:30PM till 8pm (or until all students have finished the first process of the transferring) and Sunday, April 27th, from 11AM until the students finish there project.
