Thanks a lot for helping out, but that trick didn´t help much either on the main machine (29k-4).. (haven´t been able to test it on the other one (29k-3)) So if there may be anything else to try, I will appreciate anything :-)

The reason I wet form it first is that I want to be 100% sure I got it as sentered as I´m able to :-) If I was making several seats with the same seat pan, I would have made a template for the size, but most seat pans I use is one of a kind.. It is more work.. and I´m sure it´s easier ways to do it, but it´s the way I learned it myself :-) It´s not really a lot of work to make it fit the second time.. Just started on a new leather solo seat too :-) It says Momento Mori (the time to die), and not the famous latin phrase Memento Mori (remember you should die). It´s not so serious that it might sound :-) Next, will add some dye and lacing.

Hi all, I have two Singer 29k sewing machines. One 29k-3 and one 29k-4 and sometimes they are both skipping stitches here and there, and I believe that is a common problem due to worn parts. It looks like the needle won´t pick up the thread from the bobbin. One guy said it would be fixed by replacing some small gears, and other say it can be other issues that makes the problem. I´m sure there are people in here with the same problem and if anyone of you have solved it, or at least made it better, I would be very happy for some help, tips and tricks. Maybe someone also got technical drawings of the machine so I can take it apart and measure which parts that are "worn out" and can be replaced. I don´t have too much experience with these machines so if anyone got links or tips and tricks to make those machines work as good as possible I would be very happy. Anything would be appreciated! :-) If close up pictures of specific parts on the machine would help to see my problem, let me know.. Thanks a lot in advance! :-)

Yea, watermark is a good thing.. I´m thinking of doing it all the time, but forgets it just as often when uploading my work to my Facebook site or blog :-) but defiantly a good way.. Java is way to slow in my opinion, and screen dumping too easy, so a watermark is a good idea :-)

Hi, sorry for a pretty damn slow reply.. please forgive me :-) I´m always around, but not always physically... anyway, often I wet form the seat, then take it off for tooling the seat, and then form it back after finished.. but sometimes I´m tooling the seat after it´s attached, but mostly only for touch up..tooling on a soft padding is not recommended, at least not from my experience. Hope this helps :-) Feel free to ask, and I´ll try to get back to you within a couple of years.. no seriously asap :-)

Most of it is removed now.. yesterday there was way over 150 pictures there.. many of them seen here, but after I told him I´d also notify the leatherworkers I knew made it he removed them. One thing is hunting for work all over, which is fair, but not with taking credits for other hard working people..

Yesterday I was tipped about someone called Maltese Leather on Facebook. He posted one of my leather seats on his site and pretended he made it and took credits for it.. he also posted a lot of others work, from people I know, pretending it was his work and he are looking for orders.. First I complimented the awesome work, and he proudly thanked me.. the ######er didn´t even know who he stole it from. I told him to post his own stuff, and or/if posting others work he should at least link to the creator and let everyone know who made it. If not he removed the pictures I would notify Facebook about it ind in a little while quite a lot of it was gone.. or he blocked me from seeing it. So beware of ordering any thing from Maltese Leather. You might get something else than you was hoping for.. or maybe nothing at all..

This one defiantly loos sweet, but I was more thinking of brands and model names I could look for at the second hand market :-) I know in most cases it will pay off to get the top of the line machine, but right now I have to look for something as cheap as possiblebut still work for my purposes.. :-)

Hi, I´m not sure what they are called, but it´s adverticed as a shoe maker machine.. Does anyone know if this would be good to sew really thick leather? I´m mostly working with motorcycle related products and uses veg tanned leather with 3 - 5 mm thickness, so where the leather is stitced together there might be up to 10 mm thickness.. anyone know? :-) Pictures of the machine:

More or less finished.. the seat pan will be painted black and the leather will be screwed on the pan.. before attaching to the custom chopper, and the Metal OX will be ready for the west coast :-)
