  1. Definitely will following along on this one. Always looking for new ideas on organizing my shop.
  2. Thanks! and to answer your questions, The thread is olive green all the way around. I'm guessing the photo quality from having to shrink my photos to fit on the forum is what is making the thread look orange in the orange sections. Logo design is from an illustrator / tattoo artist up in Canada. He had purchased some of my stuff when i first started out and anymore we just do trades. I'll make him a new wallet and he makes me a new design. below are some of the other designs he's done that i have stamps for.
  3. I don't skive my edges down. I usually am using between 3-4 oz leather for all the wallets I make. I have been playing with thinner leather for the card slots on my traditional bifolds, but I am still happy with the thickness I am currently at. A bell skiver is definitely in my future though.
  4. Thanks! Here are a couple more I’ve finished recently.
  5. Thanks! That is one of my favorite wallets. So much so that after a month of no one purchasing it, it became my wallet.
  6. I hope to buy a sewing machine soon and a leather skiver. Mostly want the sewing machine to help with bag making and larger items. I still plan to hand stitch all my wallets though. German shepherds have always been my favorite, they are an absolute joy to have around. He sits down in the leather shop with me most evenings and weekends and goes almost everywhere with us. Took him on my honeymoon this May.
  7. Another wallet i have as well. Surprisingly no one has bought it yet.
  8. Thanks! I actually just picked up a Sony A6100 to try an improve my product photography. Going to take some practice but I'm happy with how some of my photos are turning out so far. Nice looking shepherd! Mine just turned 2 the other week!
  9. Thanks everyone! Here is another Bifold wallet I just finished up. Made with Wickett & Craig Natural veg tan.
  10. Not skived, just different thickness used for lining.
  11. Just wanted to post a mixture of my work. Haven't posted much on here, but have been a member for a little while. Feel free to critique them. These are just what I have pictures of currently.
  12. I was just talking about this with my wife the other day. A new "Etsy" site needs to be created for actual handmade items. Etsy is pointless anymore with all the mass produced junk allowed to be posted now.
  13. I literally sent an email to Gregg this morning not knowing this.
  14. I paid up for the weaver & absolutely love it!
  15. https://milwaukeesrd.com/ From my experience, these guys make the most accurate dies. And have the best customer service.
  16. Is the plough gauge still available?
  17. Thanks, yeah after further digging I found out it’s probably a Chinese made one. I will end up getting a weaver mighty wonder just trying to find the best price right now. It seems buying from weaver is the most expensive option.
  18. Does anyone have any experience with the BuckleGuy 4 Ton Manual Clicker Press? I've been looking at the weaver Mighty Wonder and then I found the Lucris M A Series 3 and have been checking it out. BuckleGuy's option looks almost identical to the Lucris M A Series 3, am thinking it may be made by Lucris and re-branded for BuckleGuy? Any input in appreciated, Thanks Guys. https://www.buckleguy.com/bg-manual-clicker-press-w-swing-head-4-ton/
  19. Lucris M A Series 3 fits the bill as well. Thanks for that info, could also be an option
  20. Looking to buy a Weaver 4 ton Mighty Wonder Press or similar. Let me know what you have and how much you are looking for. Thanks!
  21. Thanks! After doing a bunch of adjustments it now stopped splitting all the way through, the last couple mm won’t split. I removed the blade and it is already notched to sit deeper. Any idea how much tension should be on the springs? I’ve been thinking of finding someone to cast a new handle in bronze for the adjustment.
  22. Also does anyone know what the spring tension should be or how to set the spring tension properly on the two bottom springs?
