Hi folks, I picked up a Landis 30 and the blade is in need of sharpening. The PDF I see online says it needs to have a hollow ground edge put on it and I went to the only sharpener I know of in town and they can't do that with their setup for whatever reason. Does anyone know of someone who does this online I might be able to use for this service? Thanks, Brian

This discussion came up at the right time for me as I just picked up an old Landis 30 I need to tear down and clean up. It splits pretty well but needs to be cleaned and then have the Blade sharpened I think. I was going to take it to a local tool sharpener and have it professionally done. Is there anything special I need to have them do or is somewhere else recommended? I saw that it needs to have a hollow ground edge so I assume I tell them that. Thanks!

Thanks Sylvia. I thought I had. And thanks for setting up this whole setup with goldstar. I tried contacting Buckleguy to see if I could buy a small quantity to test with my press and they wouldn't allow me to do so. I've also only had issues with ligne 20 from Ohio Travel Bag. I had no ligne 24 to test with. All that said, the ones from Goldstar work fine; it's just nice to have options.

I thought I read someone had issues with ligne 20 snaps from Tandy. Maybe I'm mistaken. I'm just looking for other potential alternatives to goldstartools snaps.
