what does everyone like leather cream or leather conditioner for use on items or does anyone like using both on items to keep in good shape for years to come? my under standing is conditioner is more to replenish oils to keep from getting dry why leather cream helps keep item looking nice, just wishing to keep my leather items in great shape so asking see what is best or if would hurt leather any if used both to keep it nice. always nice to get peoples thoughts and feelings.

ok I take it that any leather conditioner will clean the leather & they should help restore oils lost over time. was just looking to get some and never new so many where around so thought to see if all should be about the same if made for leather.

does anyone use outside spring calipers/inside spring calipers in leather working or even other tools like those besides wing dividers? if so what is best way to use them?

what is everyones thoughts on the nylon hammer for leather working? I have been using a rubber mallet & wanted to upgrade so thought to ask for feed back,

ok thought to ask all of you since many of you have been tooling for some time. what is better to use when beveler tooling the checkered/textured or smooth? would checked be totaly different to textured when tooling? does the checked or textured hold the dye better to giving more deepth when you dye not matter the kind of dye? testured tools would be like pebbler or matted style & checked tools would be more one with many dots or linesl & has the roughness? I have use all the tools I just never learned all the proper names or what to use them best for & such. thanks again everyone for being so helpful.

@Hags never used double sided tape, will have to try. now would the double sided tape like you use with fabric would that be the same. and thanks to everyon for the help.

does anyone use glue with leather working if so, what type of glue has everyone found works best when gluing leather together? or is it not good to use glue with leather?
