Thanks Art. Can you tell me what the letter in the middle means? On singer machines I'll see machines with the same number but a different letter in the middle.

Hello all, Please give me the rundown on the Singer 153k103. Can it take 207 thread? How thick can it sew? Would it be good for wallets, computer bags and other personal items? Thanks, Steve

There's a new Yamata GC0618 with a servo motor and table for sale on ebay "buy it now" for $912.95. Is this the same machine as the Highlead GC0-618-1? BTW, If you're a Chinese company do you really want to have "lead" in your name? Especially together with the word "high". At least they make sewing machines and not toys. Thanks, Steve

Interesting read. http://www.forbes.com/feeds/ap/2009/07/09/ap6636679.html The Wholesale Leathercraft division, however, reported June sales fell 7 percent to $2.1 million. Tandy's year-to-date sales dipped 2 percent to $26.6 million, while Retail Leathercraft's sales gained 6 percent to $13.2 million. The unit's same-store sales for the year to date climbed 4 percent. At Wholesale Leathercraft, year-to-date sales dropped 11 percent to 12.4 million.

What's a good cylinder arm machine for very light to medium weight leather? Let's say two pieces of lining leather up to two pieces of 6 oz, that can use 138 thread? Thanks, Steve

Thanks Bob. I do have some more questions. What about the Nakajima 321 L and PFAFF 331?
