  1. Has anyone used edge kote on the flesh side? I'm looking for a nice water proof coating for the flesh side. Any other suggestions? Thanks, Steve
  2. The three Al Stohlman case making books are must haves. I refer to them all the time. Good luck, Steve
  3. Jeff at Grey Ghost is a good guy. I've taken a carving class from him and was very happy I did. I've also had him make some maker's stamps for me. The thing about his $145 guitar strap templates is they actually make three different style of straps. If you make straps for country western players this is the one to get.
  4. Andrew, Do you know how they go about staking a hide? Steve
  5. Thanks Sylvia. Their belt end templates look great. My poster board ones don't hold up.
  6. Hi Andrew, This is a sample piece of 4-5 oz milled bridle that Matt from W&C sent me. I don't consider it "pebbled". Steve
  7. Hi Eve, This a good book to learn about gussets. http://www.leathercourses.co.uk/the-leatherworking-handbook/ As well as the three Al Stohlman case making books. Good luck, Steve
  8. Congrats to both of you.

  15. Thanks, I'll check them out.
  16. Sylvia, If you ever do please let me know. I've looked and could never find any. Thanks, Steve
  17. Thank you Pete. I had no idea that this existed.
  18. Wickett & Craig has milled leather, it's not listed on their website. Call Glen over there and ask him about it.
  19. I second this. I've been very happy with my stamps from Grey Ghost.
  20. Hi Stan, Mine has the serial number stamped in the back of the cylinder arm.
