  1. You can email Don at his email address downeyite@yahoo.com . I asked him to join the forum but not sure if he is interested or not but I think he would be a great asset.
  2. Ran across this video which is a very good example of what you can do with an air brush to spray stain. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eF3wcfa47yw I found my best deal for an airbrush at Chicago Airbrush Supply http://www.chicagoairbrushsupply.com/ I found the best deal for a high quality air compressor at http://www.artistsupplysource.com/home.php?cat=391 I haven't received my items but these sites had the best prices for what I was looking for.
  3. I emailed this guy and this is what he sent back. He was very helpful and quick responding back. ________________________________ Hi Rob, I saw a where a guy was using a simple Badger 250 to stain leather. But, if it were me, I would spend a little more and get a Badger 350 or Paasche H, and have better control. The H is a rugged brush that's easy to care for and replacement parts are cheap and available. I doubt whether you need anything more complicated for what you want to do. Don't buy a cheap Chinese copy. They are generally junk. Coast Airbrush sells the H as a complete kit with 3 nozzle sizes and everything you need for $53. If you want even more control, and are willing to spend some time practicing, the Badger 155 would certainly do. It will go from fine lines to broad coverage without changing anything. The set with everything but the hose sells for about $77. It is also an easy brush to care for. I would stick with siphon fed so you can attach a bottle if you need to. Have a look at my reviews. As for a compressor, any shop compressor that can be set for about 30psi would do. You might need an adapter. A lot of guys are happy with this little Harbor Freight airbrush compressor. Don't go with one of the little cheapies in a plastic case. Get at least 1/8 hp. To get good fades, you might have to thin the dye a bit and do multiple passes. Best of luck with it. If I can be of any help, let me know. Take care, Don
  4. Me and my "Crew" met Troy and Jacob from the History Channel reality show Swamp People today, they were very nice dudes. Of course I had to plug my website to Jacob showed him my gator money clip I make. I think everyone got their shirts signed even the kids.
  5. That is awesome. I have needing pattern similar to this to make one for the little ones. I know Tandys now has some kits but they seem to expensive when all I need is the tracing pattern.

Blueguns are still working out some details with FNH. I will update you as information becomes available. Estimated 10-14 business days shipping M-F or more due to order volume.
  7. Does anyone know of some suppliers located in Japan? maybe a Japan version of Tandy's? I have a family member deploying to Japan for a year.
  8. The Shield is the #1 selling Bluegun right now so they don't last in stock long. I would recommend just getting in line as soon as you can unless you can locate one on hand. We do our best to keep guns in stock, you can see what is in stock from the site. Here is a video that points out where on the site you can locate on hand amounts http://screencast.com/t/SLDHLREzmnR . We are waiting on several large orders for our inventory.
  9. They have a black oxide finish. I do have some of those with a more flexible clip, would that help?
  10. Get a Paypal Extras credit card and use to buy all your supplies or anything related to the business, it will help you keep some sort of record or at least a back up. You will also rack up tons of reward points which you can cash in to buy more supplies. They will allow about $400-500 a year in rewards. About forgot if your not the kind to pay all your cards off each month I would not recommend this, I have never paid a dime in interest yet and have had over two years.
  11. Been meaning to do one of those, seems like they would be comfortable. Looks good!
  12. Yes I probably am going to add some. I want to see what everyone wanted before I research getting some.

  14. I am sure someone has mentioned it but if you log into your Paypal account you can print shipping labels even if you were not paid via Paypal by going to www.paypal.com/shipnow. It will allow you to just print an label to whatever information you put in. You can also ship 1st class with tracking without making a trip to the post office. It is free with a Paypal account. Sorry if I am repeating something that someone has already said.
  15. I haven't had any complaints about that on either clip but based on what you mentioned I would recommend using the powder coated version. Here it is http://www.bluegunstore.com/?page_id=10&slug=product_info.php&products_id=348 They are slightly more but I think worth the little extra.
