  1. I have one of these machines but it is still in the box it came in from a few years ago. Maybe I will make it my next project machine to see how it sews. I specialize in Restoring BUSM No. 6 machines and many parts appear to be the same, at least the screws. Mine has a complete treadle stand which is very attractive in itself. Thanks for the inspiration. I'll let you know in 2 weeks how I make out with it.
  2. A Landis no. 1 Shuttle will not work in BUSM No. 6. They are different sizes. If anyone wants a new Pearson no. 6 shuttle I have new ones in stock. They are $250.00US each and are complete and perfect. I supplied them to Aaron Martin. I also have new feet, rollers (long and short) that go into the front flywheel, needle bar thread tension plates and the thread lock plates (the ones at the top right part of the machine where the thread goes between them). I also have the little springs and screw for the shuttle cover. These are all new stock and are excellent. Feel free to contact me: Henry Veenhoven 416-231-1870 or veenhoven@sympatico.ca
  3. Greetings from the other side of the world, I just stumbled on this posting. You are the only person I have ever seen that has more Pearsons than I do. In case you or anyone else needs parts I have new shuttles and other wearing parts available. I also have Junker & Ruh SD 28 mchines available for sale and I also have new Shuttles and bobbins for those as well. In case anyone is interested. Thanks, Henry Veenhoven Toronto, Canada Tel: 416-231-1870 Email: veenhoven@sympatico.ca
  4. You have to read the whole listing. Shipping is as per weight and where you are located. I can't put anything else on Ebay;'s site becasue every location is different. That is why I state in big bold blue lettering to wait until I send you an invoice. That is the only way I can list it from Canada! They are not heavy so I am guessing between $10-20.00 depending on your exact location and which lot interests you.

  7. Hi Peggy, You are right, it is an insole stitcher. It is very rare but I have a couple myself that I bought in Europe. I don't know anything more about them than what you have discovered yourself unfortunately. If you do manage to dig up any other info please let me know. Thanks, Henry (in Toronto by the way). Hi, I just purchased a Junker & Ruh (SK) states it is made in Germany but this is an insole stitcher I believe as it has the horn on it. I have been looking online for more information and can't seem to find anything more than it was possibly made in Karlsruh, Durlach Baden, Germany. Would you happen to know about this machine or where I might find out more about it. I reside in Windsor Ontario and purchased this just recently in Kitchner. thanks

  12. Bill, For the foot marks feel free to sand/grind the corners of the foot so they are more wounded and polish the rounded corners. The foot is not involved in moving the leather, so it doesn't need the full footprint to achieve the pressure required to hold the work. There is a smaller foot available as well with a narrow slot so it is narrower than the standard foot you have. You might get one of those as well and then round the corners and you should be good to go after that. Cheers, Henry Contacted Tippman today and talked to Tom. He was very helpful and walked me through a couple things. Ended up, he thought the shuttle retainer may be the problem. So I ordered that to start with. Too scared to use the machine for now. It's really binding. Dennis, I talked to him about the presser foot. He said at one time they came out with the valve, but it caused other problems with the leather moving around. He suggested keeping the foot highly polished, and then rub out the marks. I may get a cobblers hammer like you have and try that. Bill
  13. Hi All, I'm looking for some shoemaking tools if anyone has extras or a good source, I'd love to hear from you. Specifically, I need Peg Floats, Burnishing Irons, and a Welt Creasing Wheel. Also, I'm desperately searching for a source for the finger shaped Clicker's Whetstones. Thanks, Jeff Jeff, Can you tell me what a clicker's Whetstone is? I may have it without knowing that that is what is called? I tried a Google search but didn't have any luck. Thanks, Henry
  14. Does anyone out there have a Tippmann Aerostitch machine (with reverse) that they are interested in selling? Have machines to trade in you looking for a good skiving machine or will just buy it outright if preferred. Thanks, Henry Veenhoven 416-231-1870 Email me
  15. Why not buy the original one that Weaver scammed from: the Lucris MA SeriesIII press. They are $1450.00 and fully adjustable for leather thickness and die height. There system/machine is also pattened in case you are wondering and they have made it since 1999 I believe. Also it is better made than the Weaver knock-off: cast iron rather than plate steel. I have sold these since 2001 and have sold at least 250 of these machines to 200 different industries. If you have any questions just ask. Thanks, Henry 416-231-1870 Email me My link
  16. Say, Henry, who should I contact about acquiring one of these clickers to be shipped to Peru? I can sell you one of these machines. I have shipped them as far away as Italy and Abu Dhabi so Peru should be no less challenging I suspect. Feel free to Email me address details and I will try and find out a shipping cost for you. Cheers, Henry Veenhoven Email me My web Site 416-231-1870
  17. Does anyone have one like this for sale, and can beat this price? If not for sale, does anyone have experience with these clickers? Is 1900 a fair market price? This Atom has a control for the left hand with 3 buttons, and a control on the right for the right thumb only What do the three buttons on the left hand control do? Thanks! That price is a bargain. Usually they sell for $3500-4000.00. I have one and they they are fantastic. Mine doesn't have the left 3 button controp thing so I can't speak to that. You can get a manual from Michael Simard here in Canada. Cheers, Henry Veenhoven Toronto, Ontario
  18. Magnus, I wouldn't recommend taking the cover off, that is unlikely to be the problem. The most likely problem is either an air leak or a timing issue with the two little sprung steel parts at the end of the needle bar. All the other tips given above are good advice. If you still have trouble I'd send it to Tippmann and have Tom Black look at it. He is the expert. YOu can also call him toll free at 1-866-286-8046. When you send it in they will get it running perfect with a one year guarantee. I know because I have sold about 20 of these machines since they came out. They are great. If anyone wants one I have one for sale with reverse and the needle positioning lever as well as the auxilary pressure valve for the foot. It is $2500.00 if interested. Cheers, Henry Veenhoven 416-231-1870 Still working on it. The needle seems to once in a while go right through the needle threado n a stitch and get all gimped, probably a thread to needle size issue. But the overall stitch length is still being annoying.. after the pressure foot walks the leather, the leather seems to come back forward, as well as sometimes lift a bit to throw things out of wack.
  19. Patrice, I only added that info abput the MA Series III press because I think a lot of people are unaware of the various machines and their advantages/limitations. The Tippmann machines are $1650.00 and $3200.00 respectively. They are great for what they do but their limitation is that the head does not swing out of the way for lining up your work. Other than that they are well made and virtually maintenance free. The only thing that can happen is that the bladder can spring a leak and a new bladder is about $50.00. I hope that helps, Henry Veenhoven 416-231-1870 Thank you. I know that your are not reponsible for the high price of the MA series III. I'm sure it's well worth the money. But, for the price, i think i should wait and buy a more expensive machine with a larger surface. While you are here, how do you ask for the tippmann clicker 700 and 1500? I hope you did not find my message offensive. It was not my point. I only wanted to see what other leatherworkers here are using. Patrice Robert
  20. To one and all, As the distributor of the MA series III press in North America, I justwant to say it beats all the other suggestions here except on price. The height of the head is easily adjustable, (unlike Tippmann's), theplates give even pressure over the entire head area, (unlike arborpresses that are point loaded), and lastly the head swings completelyout of the way so you can line up your work precisely and see what youare doing, (unlike all the other suggestions). The price has gone upmostly because of the falling US dollar and they are made in Australia, not China. I have sold over 250 of these machines since 2001 so restassured they are well made, reliable machines. And once you get one youwill recognize many other possibilities. About the price, blame thecurrency traders (or the US bankers). Thanks, Henry Veenhoven Creative Leatherworks, Toronto, Canada 416-231-1870 Hi all! Once again i'm using the infinite power of the leatherworker forum. I just bought some small embossing plates and i dont have, for the moment, 1800$ for a tippman clicker press. So, i'm trying to figure out another way of stamping plates into my leather pieces. You will find a picture of the plates at the end of the topic. I found this site: http://www.clickcut....id=11&Itemid=55 I send an email at the company, but did not received any responses for now. Since the plates are very small 2" x 4", do you think that this small hand press would do a nice and even impression? I was also looking for this other solution: http://www.danielsmi...--i-530-120-002 That's I'm thinking right now. If you think of something else, let me and the others members know.
  21. Im looking at a few head units to replace my Singer 281-1 which wont run larger threads. Im looking to use 138 or 207 thread, I already have speed reduction and a servo motor. Heres a few heads that Im looking at, hoping for some good advice. Im leaning towards the Pfaff 545 but thought that a cyclinder bed could be useful too. My humble opinion is that none of these machine is designed to be used with 207 thread and that 138 wold the limit of the machine. My best advice is to try the machine or send the seller some thread and leather to sew to see if it will actually sew the combination you want to sew with it. Cheers, Henry
  22. Doublestitch, It looks like you are missing more than just the shuttle if your picture is complete! You are missing the entire shuttle track. Did you take it off or is it really not missing? Badger, just to clarify something you said, the machines in North America do not have Pearson on the flywheel. Pearson was bought by British United Shoe machinery and that is what is on the flywheel. Some of them also have John O Flaherty as sole agents on a second row of text inside the outer ring of text. The actual Pearson machine is about 75% the size of the British United machine which is what most people have. I have only run across 3 of the original Pearsons here in Canada in the last 10 years! I will have new shuttles available for this machine soon. I also supply most of the parts to Aaron Martin. He has a few parts that he carrys that are made locally and the rest are supplied to him by me. Hope that clears up a little of the mystery about your machine. Cheers, Henry Veenhoven Creative Leatherworks 416-231-1870 My Email/contact info Thanks for the response (Steve, DJ and Badger) Appreciate the heads-up.
  23. Katarina, The machine you have is Pedersen. It is a copy of the Junker & Ruh and was made by Pedersen until sometime in the 1960's or even later. The parts are the same as the Junker & Ruh which was discontinued during WWII sometime. I can sell you needles if interested and very shortly will also have bobbins and shuttles available for this machine. I am also the one who made the little youtube video: I did it so people could understand how the machine functions and see it in action because they are pretty rare over here in North America. Thanks, Henry Veenhoven Toronto, Ontario CANADA 416-231-1870 My Email Thanks everyone for your answers, I´ve been busy enjoying the sun with the kids and everything related to work in the cellar has been forgot!! But, as I start puttin´it in to working condition, I´ll be sure to get back to the needle orders!! Thanks again!! GFS, Katariina
  24. Hi Henry, No, it's not a sewing machine it's an 'Epoch' automatic, power operated, eyelet setting machine, made by the British United Shoe Machinery Company. It was designed to punch a hole and then set the eyelet in a single operation, which it would continue to do, as long as the control pedal is held down! This example is set up with a 'blind' punch as the holes are, generally, cut out during the 'clicking' operation. I have posted pictures of this machine previously, however, here are some more for you. Steve Steve, Thanks, looks very interesting. I also have a couple of machines that are set up for eyelets originally but then converted to hole punching machines. The difference being that yours looks like it has a more practical lower anvil. Thanks again, love your machines. Cheers, Henry Veenhoven Toronto, Ontario Canada 416-231-1870
  25. Steve, Quick question for you, what is that gray machine in the foreground? Is it a sewing machine or some kind of other fastening machine. Whatever it is can you post some pictures of it as I am sure it would be of interest to other viewers. Cheers, Henry (a close neighbour and advisor of the other Stephen above!)
