  1. Great work Jim... love the Kokopeli!
  2. Thanks to everyone for your kind comments! You're right, Go2Tex.... I marked the lines and carved them along with the rest of the pattern. The grid pattern is meant to emulate a latticed garden gate the customer has. I decided to add a light coat of Neat Lac to seal it.
  3. Great work! I love the way you accented the back.
  4. Thanks Crystal! The primary color is Timber Brown with a light coat of Java Brown along the edges and spine. Both are Eco-Flo dyes from Tandy. I used an airbrush to apply the dye. After that I applied a coat of Fiebing's Antique Finish in Mahogany. Most of that seemed to come off even through I buffed lightly. It did add a slight reddish tint, which I liked. I sealed it with Tan-Kote. I'm debating whether to add another coat of Neat-Lac...
  5. Great carving, David!! Did you paint the tank too?
  6. My first leather project in a loooong is complete! I was given a rough design to carve and I made a few revisions. The customer named the garden "New Pool".... see if you can find it. Finished size (closed) is approximately 12" x 12". Please let me know what you think and how I can improve! Thanks to all the people who helped me along.... you know who you are. :-)
  7. I realize this is an old topic, but there may be someone who needs similar info. I've used PhotoShop for years. I've tried other applications but PhotoShop is definitely the best. You CAN change file size, and anything else for that matter, with full-blown PhotoShop. I may be going out on a limb here, but I'd be happy to help others who have questions about using the software. Bob
