  1. Looks good yall.
  2. The Mexican Loop Holster was right at home on the range in the 19th century. Carried by many outlaws and lawmen such as Texas Rangers. The Mexican Loop Holster was a classic design that carried over into the 20th century as well. Simple in design, it is still popular today, so many decades later. I decidced to make up this holster for a 1911.
  3. This is true. Lots of times people just use the term Mexican Loop for any of the ones that have a loop to hold the holster to the back but techicanally these are of a diferent style.
  4. Thank you. The lighting was nice there in a grassy shade. Thank you. Thank you BigBore. Thanks Hags. Thank you Littlef Appreciate it. I have not decided yet. I may make a matching belt for these.
  5. Just finished up these holsters made to carry Ruger Vaquero/New Vaquero as well as other similar Colt style revolvers with 5.5" barrels.
  6. Thanks Bruce. I def. used a better leather than the original.
  7. Thanks for the input. The Glowforge is one of the ones I was looking at also.
  8. Had a guy message me about re-creating a holster that he has loved/used for many years. The holster is a Brauer H837 that fits his short barreled Colt Python and His Ruger GP100. His holster was now soft and pretty much worn out. He sent me some photos of the holster so I could know what he was wanting. I told him that I would gladly do this for him. He mailed me the holster to use for refrence. Here is the original holster and the one I made for him. I made a few subtle changes such as putting a border around the basketweave and using nickel hardware but overall I thinkn I stayed true to the original design.
  9. What laser do you use? I have been looking at different lasers off and on for a while now trying to decide on what I want.
  10. Really nice job.
  11. Nice job.
  12. Appreciate it. It's like one of the "Bible" books for original 19th century holsters/belts etc. Another good one is Cowboys and the Trappings of the Old West. Two must haves if you really want to see some original old west holsters.
  13. Thank you. Yeah, I would think so. Someone would have loved a holster like this. Yeah, such a great book. This is the first one I have directly picked out and tried to make. I have other similar ones in the book that I make but this one I tried to replicate as closely as possible. That was my thinking also. Its also what I did. At first I thought it was looped around and back to the same rivets but I thought it looked too thin for that so I just riveted mine to the skirt. Thank you.
  14. Those are really nice.
