  1. Thanks for the information Klara. I never considered making my own.
  2. Does anyone know a good source for a quality Dress Form or a used life-size mannequin? I know absolutely nothing about them, is there anything I should know before I go looking? I am looking for something I can use to form costume pieces on, so it would need to be close to my size. And just for general display of said costumes. Thank you for your help.
  3. Sorry for the late reply. If you search for "Keyhole Hangers" you will come up with a lot of options. You will find them in Hardware stores with the picture hanging hardware.
  4. Great looking shop Spyros! I'm jealous. I would love to add a shed to the yard for a shop, unfortunately my yard is too small. I'm currently stuck using a desk in the corner of my basement bar/game room. It's working for now, but I'm just getting started. P.S. Boba Fett looks an awful lot like a Death Trooper.
  5. Wow! Looks great! The stitching looks nice and straight. I'm still trying to get mine to look as good as yours.
  6. Wow, Grumpymann! That is a great find! Now I have to decide... more tools or new tool box.
  7. I am currently using this Plano Tackle Box: https://www.planomolding.com/fishing/fish-series/guide-series/guide-series-stowaway-rack-system In the top section, I can keep all my larger tools like wing divider, square, mallet/hammers, a small cutting board, and knife. Still have plenty of room up there. The removable trays are all set up for different steps. One has all my sewing things, another all the stamping & tooling items. Another for all my rivets, snaps, gommets, and various setters. The only thing I can't keep in it are bottles of dye, and my tooling slab. (Though if you are using a little 6"x6", you could fit it as well)
  8. As a beginner, I have found the following YouTube channels quite helpful: Weaver Leather Supply Springfield Leather Company Don Gonzales I usually watch one of these three to learn a tool or a technique. Some others I have been watching are: DieselpunkRo Darkhorse Workshop Prince Armory These have been giving me ideas for the things I would like to create.
  9. Hello from Wisconsin, USA. Just starting on Leatherwork as a new hobby. I have made a few belt pouches. (Using patterns from Dieselpunk.Ro) After realizing how much I enjoy it, I have been investing more and more in time (and tools.) Next, I would like to start tooling some belts, and some larger bags and cases. I'm also hoping to create some armor pieces for family and friends who have interests in Historical European Martial Arts (HEMA).
