  5. Okay this should get loads of different opinions. What makes the best stamping stone & why? The reason I ask is I have access to a bunch of granite at a super good price, now if it stands up great if not it would be a waste of my time. Al
  6. I don't see anything wrong. I don't know of anyone that would not be happy to own that. Judged events are always biased in my opinion. Would be interested to here what Keith had to say about it. Al

  9. This question is directed at the knife makers on here. Would the metal in a hand saw (wood) make a good blade? Al
  10. Frank Send me some pics if you would be so kind. And do you take paypal. Al
  11. Great job guys!! That should help a lot when folks are ordering a tree as they have some visual refference. Again great job.
  12. They should have had that design first. Now I have both. LOL Al
  13. Hi Chris If I was doing it again I would not waste my time with the other machines. BUY A NEEDLE AND AWL MACHINE right from the start, I would go with campbells high lift. If you check out freedmansharness.com, Toronto based harness maker they have a couple of needle & awl machines for sale, talk to Henry. Al
  14. Justin Caledon leather in Calgary normaly has good supply. Al
  15. Bruce Do you put rope diveders in your bags are is there only 1 pocket ? Al
  16. I have a question for the folks that are making stamps. What are you using for a machine to do the the design work? Al
  17. Thanks all found the one I was looking for.
  18. Awhile back someone posted a lace cutter/beveler, they had made & talked about making some. It was a block with a bearing mounted on it. I can not for the life of me find that post & would like to get a hold of one. Al
  19. Sweet looking ride! Look foreward to close ups.
  20. White Buff has yet to answer my request for a price and weather he is even making them any more. I really liked his design & would like to get my hands on one.
  21. I have had no luck getting better pictures, as they all have been custom made & they don't want to give away somebodies design, which I do not blame them for. Waiting now for contact info for one custom builder, will see if he will be kind enough to offer some advice if not I may have to send my customer to him & let him build, they do not appear t be that hard, more intereasted in some fit pointers & other tricks they have incorperated into the design. Al
  22. Have not posted in a long time, but am woundering if any one has ever built the pads they use for roman riding. I have a request to build a pair but as of yet have not been able to find any photos showing just the pads, so having a hard time determining what would be the best course of construction. Thanks Al
  23. I was waiting for the pros to respond, but seeing as they have not here is my 2 cents. To replace the horn requires removing all the leather & sending the tree out so they can remove the rawhide, replace the horn & re cover the tree. If you are not letting your dally slip on the horn & are using rubber on it then wrap more rubber on it, but to much & you then have no horn cap. So the best is to buy a saddle with a horn to your liking. Al
