  1. I was wondering if you ever finished the frame project or tried a second version. I'm curious how the leather held up over time, especially with the backer board idea you mentioned. Has anyone tried using swivel knife tooling for detailing on something like this, or would that be too much on a thin edge?
  2. That sounds like a great restoration job! It’s always satisfying to bring a quality piece back to life, especially when working with materials that match the original craftsmanship. LV’s use of pigskin for certain trims is something a lot of people don’t realize. If anyone’s looking for authentic pieces at great prices, the lv outlet is a good place to explore.
  3. Hey. As someone who loves making wallets, I totally get the importance of finding the right sewing machine. So, let's talk about the Sailrite Fabricator and the Consew 206RB-5. Sailrite is pretty cool because they have awesome customer service and offer cool accessories and helpful videos. Plus, they have a decent 2-year warranty. The only downside is that their resale value isn't as high. On the other hand, Consew has a higher resale value, but their customer service might not be as great, and their warranty is shorter. If you're willing to take a chance online, you could check out some reviews and comparisons to get a better idea. Someimes, an online toss may help. Anyway, I'm a newbie on this forum, too, so I just wanted to know what decision you made eventually.
  4. Hey @LimaWhiskeyLeather! That's a cool hat, good job!
  5. Hey there! Your RFID credit card holder with the sunflower design looks so cute and unique. I love how you customized it to fit your friend's taste.
  6. That looks like a great project you’ve created! The detail and craftsmanship are impressive. I’m curious, did you use a pattern or design of your own for the front cover? I’m a member of an Apostolic Pentecostal church here in Portland, so Bible covers like this have special meaning to me. It’s always great to see someone with the skill to turn a dream into reality. I’m sure it took some time to get all the details just right. I bet the back stamping was the most time-consuming part! I used to work with leather myself, so I know a thing or two about the process. We should chat sometime about the techniques and tools you used for this project. Thanks for sharing! Have a blessed day.
