  1. I'm sure you wont be dissapointed. I spent about 30 mins with it on some scrap leather to figure out how to get a good impression, without getting a double I.print. 1 good solid wack caused a rebound and double impression. I found that solidly held and 2 to 4 lighter wacks got a very clean impression. I use a 1 pound poly maul, by the way.
  2. Tim nailed it!!!

  4. Where do y'all get your custom makers stamps and what can one expect to pay?
  5. I have a large black square of some type of low density poly... I got it out of a box of my dads old leather working stuff from the 80s... I believe its similar if not the same as poundo board... Probably about 3/8" thick. Its pretty flexible, when I found it it had been in a bucket for about 30 years... And was thus curved. I placed it under my tooling rock for 2 days and it flattened right out. I use it for all my punching needs from stitch chisels to hole punches to large end punches. Works great and doesnt damage the cutting edges.
  6. Thanks... I do leather work as a hobby and side hustle. It all started about 2.5 years ago with a belt I made in trade for the excess materials from the build. From there it has just grown... Ive now got nearly $1000 worth of hides (from horse to kangaroo) in my bedroom. I have several pieces of my work walking around Idaho (locally to where I live), Michigan, Arizona, and now Texas.
