Hi, does anyone know what this type of "hinged stud" closure this is? I've been searching for a supplier, but don't know what to call it. All my attempts at defining it for Google have failed. Any help much appreciated.

I have made a 4-strand round braid bracelet which fit just find at first. As time went on it got tighter and tighter and is now so loose it comes off too easily. I put a simple end with a hole on one side and a knot on the other. That was a simple design I had on the web somewhere but it is not really feeling finished, just technically possible to close. How would you or how have you guys "finished" or created a closures for a 4-strand round braid bracelet? Photos: IMG_2847 by Ed Davison, on Flickr IMG_2846 by Ed Davison, on Flickr

I have been mugged before, so I carry all my money in a coin purse. I usually buy them on Ebay, and are pretty cheap. The problem is they are all fake leather or some sort of flexible plastic and they rip out quick. So I would like to make one out of good leather and reinforce it where they rip out. But I don't know what the closure/clasp is called and searches hasn't helped me much. It's a pinch frame that closes on the leather sides of the opening with an arm with a ball at the end and to close it you bring them together and balls keep it from opening. I'd like to get a frame that not just pinches on the leather, but can sew it on. If it's wide enough, I could drill the holes myself. I've tried several times on the ripped out ones to salvage the frame but they are so cheap they just bend up beyond trying to use them again. Does anyone know what they are called, or know of a supplier that offer these? Someone must make these some where. Here's a link to an Ebay for a picture of what I mean. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Women-Casual-Leather-Wallet-Key-Holder-Case-Clutch-Change-Coin-Mini-Purse-Bags/322367293569?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&var=511296814295&_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649

Hi, I was browsing on the internet and saw something like this and thought it would be a good idea to make something with this kind of buckle closure. But I have no idea what it is called and can't seem to be able to describe it well enough for google to come up with anything similar. Does anyone know what it is called and where I can get these? I am in UK.

I have been looking for this answer but have not found anything so far. I want to remake a wallet I purchased from Fossil. It has a magnetic closure for cash. Though the area sewn in is a rectangle on both the inside and outside it seems there are three small circular magnets embedded in some kind of magnetic shielded material. I have not cut my wallet open just yet to satiate my curiosity. The magnetic shielding is neat as I can get the pull of the magnet from the cash holding side but there is no magnetic field displaying on the outside. Which explains why this thing never attached to my keys or anything in my pocket. Anyone know what this is, where to buy it, or how to make it? Kindly, mere Image of my wallet:

I'm thinking of making a briefcase or two as Christmas gifts for my family this year. Initially I was just going to do a standard billet and buckle arrangement, but when I looked at examples online I found that most of them had straps that seemed to weave in and out of the lid of the case, as well as the back...hard to explain what I mean... What I can't see about this method is how the strap is attached...is it just woven through all the slots in the leather and left 'loose', or is it stitched on someplace? I haven't had any success finding anything about it. See the attached image for what I mean. (the briefcase below is from Longview Leather, a supplier out in Calgary. Just figured I'd cite my sources) Can anyone enlighten me?
