Right then, never thought such a request would happen here, but seems it has. A regular customer of mine has bought an old John Deere tractor. He wants / needs a place to store a soft bound wee book. Seems there might have been one on the tractor previously, as there are two holes on the right hand rear fender. Regardless, he was not after anything stunning, but when he brought the tractor round the shop so I could do measurements, I mentioned doing it in John Deere green with yellow stitching. Aye, he was sold! I've been on experimenting to get the proper green, but cannae get there. I've been mixing Pro Dye green with yellow and with spirits to find the green, but no even close. A entirely different shade of green. Have any of you lot (especially Americans due to the amount of John Deere users in the USA) a mix ratio for the stunning green colour? Looking forward to the responses. Cheers!

Hello:) This is my first post, and I'm not sure it's right section. English is not my native language, so I please your indulgence So, I'd like to ask what method and what kind of leather is this belt made? In the product description is information: "oil washed vegetable tanned leather", but it look like chrome tanned leather. Mostly I care about greenish-gray colour of the edges, and back. Is any DIY method to achieve effect like this or where I can buy leather like this, thick on 3,5-4mm? Here is next example with similiar effect, but colour is more blueish-gray. I thank You in advance for answer.

I joined after I read a lot and now I would like to ask for advise. I have a Flexsteel hunter green sofa. At first I wanted to dye it brown but have lost my nerve and decided I like the green enough to leave it alone. But the cushions, back and arms are faded and I do want to darken them to their original color which is a traditional dark hunter green. Would Fiebings green oil dye darken it to that color? In the color swatches it looks kelly green so I wondered what your experience with it are. I would not be against mixing dyes to get that color, so I wondered what you think about that.

FINALLY got this present finished, but I messed it up so much that I told my guy that I'll make him a better one based off the same pattern and color. (turns out he wants a stag and owl on it anyway) I probably went about making this thing ass-backwards, but in the end it turned out alright. In any case, it holds the knife tight and looks a hell of a lot more harmonious with it than the cheapo nylon sheath that came with it. I underestimated how close I had made the knotwork to the edge, and just how much tooling it would expand the leather so I ended up stitching over the very tip of the knotwork at the bottom. I'm not so pleased with how the tooling itself came out, either, but I'm still progressing with it.

Hey guys, I need a Mojave Green Rattlesnake skin for a customer order. Does anyone know where I can get one? According to a couple different websites, They are in no way protected but I can't seem to find one. I need it for a rifle sling so a pretty good sized one is needed. Thank you in advance.

Hey folks! Thought I would share a custom quiver order I took last month. I really enjoyed the way it came out. This was for a repeat customer, but they wanted a hip quiver with adjustable angle and the option of adding a shoulder strap for a walking quiver. I also put together a matching black and green arm guard. On the quiver I tried what I thought was the technique for getting a gradient transition between colors, but I think maybe I need to use a lighter green or thin it out. I've seen some quivers on etsy with very striking color transitions but I haven't nailed down the way to do it yet. Thanks for lookin'!
