Members Gezzer Posted October 7, 2022 Author Members Report Posted October 7, 2022 @tsunkasapa I am going to like this matting tool , Thank you Sir !!!! It's surprising how it lifts the image . This is the very first practice with it so a little time to get the hang of it and it will " up my game " as they say Quote

May have to add one to my collection, unless I got it in a box from @Ferg Quote In God's Grace, Pastor Bob "While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." - Romans 5:8 www.PastorBobLeather.com YouTube Channel

Really gives the illusion of lift Quote
CFM tsunkasapa Posted October 7, 2022 CFM Report Posted October 7, 2022 When we do floral carving, we use backgrounders to 'put down' the background. In figure carving there often is no background, and just beveling around our object gives the impression that it is 'down in a hole'. These matting tools help feather the beveling out and give depth to our creation. Quote Hoka Hey! Today, tomorrow, next week, what does it matter?
Members Burkhardt Posted October 8, 2022 Members Report Posted October 8, 2022 Got a question, does figure carving mean that the stamps are super, super small because I thought I got a bunch of normal stamps off Ebay till I got the surprise when I opened the box? Like 20ish little surprises. Quote
CFM tsunkasapa Posted October 8, 2022 CFM Report Posted October 8, 2022 Some are small, but some are quite large. If they are Tandy/Craftool they will have an 'F' and a number. And many of them don't make sense until you see how they are used. Can you post pics of what you got? Quote Hoka Hey! Today, tomorrow, next week, what does it matter?
Members Burkhardt Posted October 8, 2022 Members Report Posted October 8, 2022 (edited) Best I could get. On the golf ball picture the beveler doesn't have a scratch it's a mistake from the paint thing trying to down size pictures. Edited October 8, 2022 by Burkhardt Noticed a mistake Quote

Like 20ish little surprises. Tandy usually made 3 sizes of most of them or there a bouts if you print the numbers then i can tell you what size you have. or you can go to their site and find out. I ma lucky enough to have kept my old Tandy catalog with life-size pictures of each lol.
