With new customers i include a simple card wallet with a few of my cards. I usually make them using scrap pieces of embossed animal prints to jazz it up a bit. Ive also sent a few key fobs. If its a good regular male customer who is married ive added a set of tooled earrings or small bag for the mrs. But doing that i figure the guy want catch as much grief next leather he needs if i bribe there wifes a little along the way.

I include a swing tag with business name/details on one side and a thank you note on the other specific to that person.  I use the same thread I used to make the item to attach. I also add a small leather swing tag with my business name stamped into the leather. All gets wrapped in tissue paper etc. for the opening experience.

Thank you all for your replies.  It is all very helpful.  I am working on a postcard with some info like Pastor Bob's and I also like the idea of a little something extra like a key fob.  I have only made a few wallets for customers but I have always put in a $2 bill and business card. I was once told by either my grandfather or my father or maybe both that you never give a wallet as a present that is empty.

Funny, Colonel Littleton just announced via email (I'm on their list) that this weekend they are putting $2 bills in wallets and $100 in one lucky wallet.  I would argue that at the prices they charge for their wallets they'll still come out way ahead.

A business card with email, websites and social accounts. Another business sized card with leather care info. I sell on etsy so i have the auto send coupon, though it'd be nice looking to send a postcard coupon, i think for me it would be overkill. Most people dislike being barraged, more so emails than a few cards with the product.

A nice packaging job impresses me as a buyer so always make sure I ship with a nice clean box,  nicely bubble wrapped and padded, cleanly taped. Always tracked and Insured.

It blows my mind sometimes getting an expensive item myself that's haphazardly packaged in a nasty ruffed up box with little to no protection inside. I always leave reviews complementing shipping packaging and care as a buyer.
