Where can I get the little shaft that goes from the rear hand lift to the front tension disc release? It don’t seem to move when you raise the hand lift and I’ve tried bending the tab on the back of the front tension disc assembly and it’s not working. Is there another adjustment I’m missing or is it wore out?

Replaced one with a nail long ago.  Cut trimmed, and smoothed it out so it would fit and slide nicely.

Start with one around 2&1/4" long.

Used the same method, just a bit of trial-and-error to get the length right (fortunately nails are cheap :)).

If the rod is in there, but it’s not moving, then the part that pushes on the rod may be broken.   We talked about it here:
