Contributing Member fredk Posted April 6, 2023 Contributing Member Report Posted April 6, 2023 Why has no one written up a proper biography of Al (and Ann) Stohlman? I mean a real proper book, like 400 pages (at least) long Quote

Would be surprised if anyone outside of the leather world would read it... but go for it, lets see what you got! Quote

The Stohlmans have both been gone for many years, as is (I think) George Hurst, who would have been a good author and knew them well. At least in later years, the Stohlmans were VERY private according to Hurst, to the point of even rejecting business meetings with Tandy for months on end! But I have no doubt that there would have been some fantastic stories is such a book! - Bill Quote

CFM Tim Schroeder Posted January 6 CFM Report Posted January 6 I just happened to be in the Ft Worth Tandy today and they have moved the Al Stohlman museum inside the store. Every piece he tooled and she hand sewed is on display. Unbelievable work. Quote
