Northmount Posted September 26, 2023 Report Posted September 26, 2023 Increase the pressure on the presser foot. The leather may be lifting up and losing the loop so the hook can't catch it when you are on thick or harder leather. Happened to me last week! Moderator Wizcrafts Posted September 26, 2023 Moderator Report Posted September 26, 2023 Try a different leather point shape than diamond. Sometimes a slicing wedge performs better in dense leather. This would also let you move up one needle size if tight holes are the problem. Little known factoid: Schmetz make System 134-35 needles in "S" point, which is an inline slicing wedge. They are about 1mm shorter than System 135x16/17. Sometimes they work with out any needle bar adjustment. Otherwise, lower the bar 1mm when using 134-35. And wouldn't a size 22 needle be a minimum for 207? Or am I off with the numbers for that machine? Quote
