Members p51p28 Posted January 12, 2024 Members Report Posted January 12, 2024 (edited) Hi all. Looking for some leather finishing cream suggestions. What does everyone like to use? I'm looking for some that doesn't have a high beeswax content and is mostly natural. The kind of stuff you can apply with your hands if need to? Is there such a thing that exists? I've been using Aussie for years but I'd like to find an alternative. Appreciate it! Edited January 12, 2024 by p51p28 Quote
Members SUP Posted January 12, 2024 Members Report Posted January 12, 2024 @p51p28 there are any number of discussions about leather creams in this forum. Just search for 'conditioner' and you will find them. Lots of discussions about ingredients as well, so you can choose which best suit your purpose. By the way, Aussie's is mainly petroleum jelly, 60% or more, and microcrystalline wax which is also obtained as part of the petroleum refining process, and petroleum distillates. They say the conditioner is made of beeswax but the percentage of that is only 3-6%. Check their MSDS. Not that there is anything wrong with that product. It works fine. Quote

Members DieselTech Posted January 12, 2024 Members Report Posted January 12, 2024 I recently started using skidmores conditioning/finishing cream. It seems to be nice stuff. It supposedly is all natural. Plus it smells good. Quote
Contributing Member JLSleather Posted January 12, 2024 Contributing Member Report Posted January 12, 2024 I LOVE this stuff -- Great on everything from book covers to holsters. Sheen, protection, without turning your leather "mooshy". Quote
