My dogs new jewelry

Recommended Posts

Guys & gals it's not much, but I wanted to share my dogs new collar. 5oz Conceria Walpier Whiskey Dollaro leather, lined with 5oz veg tan left naked.

This was more of practice for me with my new cobra class 4 sewing machine. It turned out pretty good other than I did skip a stitch on the turn around the ends.

Its sewn together with neon blue & burnt orange 277 thread.

Thanks for looking.

Thanks everybody. I figured the best way to get familiar with my cobra class 4 was just to use it.

No not no huge dog. But she does weigh 80lbs, & has a 17" inch collar span.

Thanks.

Look great!

To avoid the skipped stitches on turns make sure your needle is beginning its up stroke before you turn your leather. This will ensure your stitch made a knot.

Yeah I think that & I was trying to turn the project too quick & missed 2 stitches.

Thanks for the tip, lol I will take all I can get.

That's for a big dog!  Very pretty.  I like the color scheme.

Yeah TomE I got her as a pup. She is around 80lbs now. She is my buddy for sure. From the end of the buckle to the tongue hole it is 16¾" inches.

That looks great, the minor stitching hiccup going around the end is a learning experience. Your dog will never notice!

For avoiding skipped stitches, when your needle is coming up you’ll see the thread above the needle go taut- your hooks got it then and you won’t loose the next stitch.

Thanks @bladegrinder I appreciate it. Yeah this sewing machine stuff is all new to me.

Lmao, Let's say I have went thru some thread practicing different things. Lol last time I touched a sewing machine was high school, & that's been quite a few years back.

I never touched a sewing machine in my life till I got my Cowboy 4500. man, did I stitch up a pile of scrap practicing. Under and around my machine looked like a barbers chair at the end of a busy day, except it was cut up pieces of thread
