whinewine Report post Posted January 20, 2007 I copied this link to my personal files for ready reference: basketweave is something so simple, yet if you don't do it on a regular basis, you so very easily forget & screw it up- ask me, I've done it more than I care to remember (& that's because I don't!- because I don't do it enough) :
pete Report post Posted February 14, 2007 Jeff- First off, thanks for the stamp. It takes a little getting use to to determine that proper wettness to make a good impression but it is clean and just waht I ordered! I saw on your web page the guitars. How does one measure to cover an edge to allow for the lacing. Do you lace it after and fit it over the guitar or do you glue(ugh!) the leather to the body and lace with a curved needle, etc???? pete

ClayB Report post Posted August 25, 2007 Where did you get that stamp... Looks like a beauty! Thanks for the lesson! Steve Steve, I dont think Jeff is a member here on the forum. The picture of the stamp in his basketweave tutorial is one made by his good friend Bob Beard. http://robertbeardtools.com Bob's tools are all hand made, kind of pricey, and take about 6 months or more to recieve, but most people that have any of them are really happy with them. Jeff Mosby makes laser engraved maker stamps and some other neat tools for leatherwork as well as does a lot of custom guitar inlay work and guitar straps.
