Jama Report post Posted September 9 Anyone know where I can find these parts; 624 one hinge, 94 tension release lever rod, 89 through 93 which appear to be the hard parts that actuate the lever rod? I bought a head cheap that lacks those parts and I'd like to use it as a backup machine. I've exhausted all my sources, including ebay. Here is a diagram of the tension release parts; thanks for any leads.

Constabulary Report post Posted September 10 (edited) You have not found them? I just googled the part numbers / items description from the parts list. #94 - 267265 https://www.ronsew.com/lifting-lever-rod-267265-for-singer-212w/ #624 - 12361 https://www.ebay.com/itm/125637743697 #89 - Singer screw #175 https://www.sewingpartsonline.com/products/feed-fork-connection-screw-175 #90 - singer srew # 86 https://www.ebay.com/itm/265240279882 #93 - 508272 https://marfar.com.au/products/sin-508272-singer-link so the parts seem to be available - I would check with local industrial sewing machine dealers or with Toledo Industrial Sewing Machines https://www.tolindsewmach.com or maybe with Ralph´s Power Sewing https://powersew.com/parts I would guess an industrial sewing machine dealer can get most parts at once. Jama Report post Posted September 10 Oh, I don't use google search, that may be my problem. I de-googled my computer, my phone...there is another computer I can use that has it. There's no one here that services machines anymore, I've been doing my own repairs and hunting parts, that's why I turned to you guys--couldn't find a local place to order. There used to be mobile repairmen who would order what I needed, but when the inflated gas prices hit, they stopped doing that. Now I have to lug it about fifty miles and wait weeks. The last shop that was on Ottley Drive closed/moved, the building is empty. Thanks to you both, I appreciate your help. I saw a couple of things in Toledo's offerings. I'll post an update. Jama Report post Posted September 21 Well so far I found two screws, nothing else that I needed: The tube that the tension release lever rod sits in goes all the way through the machine, a piece of rod falls out the back when you shove it in there. Still waiting for a call back on parts. I bought about $250 worth of replacement parts a few months ago, (hook, fiber gear, timing belt, tension assembly, needle bar, etc.,) I couldn't find that bar on the back with the chain connection to the knee lifter assembly, it's wallowed out and the screw goes right through it. Can I replace the chain with a rod & spring, would that work? I can fabricate a rod and spring from crap I got laying around here. There's a hole in the casting for the lifter rod to go through. I could get a washer welded over the wallowed out hole, and modify the bar so that I could attach the spring rod to it. My hundred dollar head is turning into quite a pain! CowboyBob Report post Posted September 21 @Jama 211's are good machines BUT it is a re-designed 111W (which you can still buy all the parts for) they changed alot of parts & screws SO many small items like certain screws & other small parts will be hard to find since they've been discontinued yrs ago. Jama Report post Posted September 22 Yeah, I gave away my 111W155 to a young fella who wanted a leather machine to learn to sew on, and got a Juki 1541S which is way better for auto upholstery. I had just put a hook and timing belt in the 111 before I gave it away, so he got a great deal! The Juki is what I mainly sew on, but I have a Consew 206RB-5, a National 16-188, and a Singer 112G140 for French seams in headliners. I rebuilt a Juki Lu563 for my friend and repainted the head, put her name across the front. It was easy to get parts for, too. By the time I find parts for the 211G156 I'll be too old to sew anymore. I'm teaching my grand daughter upholstery, she's 20. We knock out some work using one machine for construction seams, one for top stitching and one of the double needles for French seams, so having them all sewing is the goal, and the 211G156 is backup because there aren't any repairmen in my area anymore. (well okay there's one guy, but he takes forever and charges an arm and a leg) The National marks the face of the leather so we can only use it for construction seams on the flesh side of the hide, but it makes tight, pretty stitches, the Consew grabs every now and then, I've never warmed up to the whipping you get when it jams. I really need to get the parts to put together the 211G156; I'll try again Monday, at Ralphs. Thanks you guys!
Agent319 Report post Posted September 22 I just bought some Singer 211G parts from https://ronsew.com/ High shipping rates however
Jama Report post Posted September 25 Yeah, Abel (Ronsew) has had parts in the past that I couldn't get anywhere else. They charge a lot more for shipping. I got a sleeve bearing there which cost twice what it should have, but the machine is back online. You are in my old neck of the weeds, Springfield. I grew up in Lebanon, about 50 miles north of there. I love MO. I have Able open in another tab, gonna go look for parts! Thanks Agent 319!
