Members dikman Posted May 26 Members Report Posted May 26 I use the same process for hand stitching as it gives nice even spacing. Quote Machines wot I have - Singer 51W59; Singer 331K4; Seiko STH-8BLD; Pfaff 335; CB4500. Chinese shoe patcher; Singer 201K (old hand crank)
Members bladegrinder Posted May 26 Members Report Posted May 26 For not having the knife on hand I’d say you did great! I had a knife maker friend years ago that was a retired sheriff and hated leatherwork, he sent cardboard cutouts to a guy doing life in prison to make his sheaths. The guy did good work but being in prison he had to use water based dyes that just didn’t look that good. Quote
Members Hags Posted May 27 Members Report Posted May 27 (edited) Ditto all the above! without the knife to measure you did all you could. Looks great! Edited May 27 by Hags Quote Not so retired RN. Living on the Washington Peninsula.

PastorBob Posted May 27 Report Posted May 27 Well done. It's not easy working from pictures of a 3D object. Congrats! Quote In God's Grace, Pastor Bob "While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." - Romans 5:8 www.PastorBobLeather.com YouTube Channel
