Members Timmmm Posted Monday at 08:09 PM Members Report Posted Monday at 08:09 PM How do I remove this spot? I got a bit of paint on it and I tried acetone. Then I added a drop of oil. Now it looks pink. What do I do? I also plan on antiquing this. Maybe it will cover it up a bit??? Quote
Members DieselTech Posted Monday at 09:10 PM Members Report Posted Monday at 09:10 PM Lol is this a joke? Cause I am not seeing the bad spot you mentioned. BTW that looks great! Nice work. Quote
Members DieselTech Posted Monday at 09:12 PM Members Report Posted Monday at 09:12 PM Ah! I think i finally spied it. I think if you antique it, then top coat it. It will no longer be visible. Quote
Members Timmmm Posted Monday at 09:18 PM Author Members Report Posted Monday at 09:18 PM Thank you. No seriously. Lol. It’s a friggin pink spot in the word pink! Ra help me. Lol Quote
Members BlackDragon Posted Monday at 09:25 PM Members Report Posted Monday at 09:25 PM Is it the area in between the P and I? Antiquing may hide it. It looks like it got a little burnished so if it doesnt work the first time try slightly roughing up that area and try antiquing again. Quote
Members Timmmm Posted Monday at 09:40 PM Author Members Report Posted Monday at 09:40 PM Yes. Between the P and the I. It’s such an eyesore. I’m hoping once the drop of oil soaks in overnight and it is what it will be I can then scrape it maybe and re-oil??? Maybe? It’s a diabetic test kit for my brother. I’m hoping to remove it but if not, well, it’s my brother. lol. Quote

Members Handstitched Posted Tuesday at 08:08 AM Members Report Posted Tuesday at 08:08 AM It took me a while to spot it too. Only a leather worker would pick it up, but I 'd think the average person wouldn't see it. But as suggested, antiquing might do the trick . CFM chuck123wapati Posted Tuesday at 01:59 PM CFM Report Posted Tuesday at 01:59 PM Part of the problem is that you have also burnished it by rubbing on it. My only suggestion is to make a few more around on the wall and make it look intentional, it will add some texture and difference to the background. Thanks. 1 hour ago, jrdunn said: By the way, which one's Pink? In between the p and the I is a pink spot. Funny enough it’s the first time trying this tiny squeeze bottle. Very first time I tuned it upside down it splattered all over. Damn. I guess it’s a feature now! Thanks everyone for the great suggestions. I will repost once fixed. Or added to Quote
