Uwe Posted Friday at 02:56 PM Report Posted Friday at 02:56 PM Nice find indeed! I just ordered a set. A picture for archival purposes in case AE listing disappears: I’ve been looking for that style presser feet with a Singer mount since I used the KP267Q feet on the Adler 267: And just for completeness sake, a picture of the 441 version: Quote Uwe (pronounced "OOH-vuh" ) Links: Videos
Members Constabulary Posted Friday at 04:06 PM Author Members Report Posted Friday at 04:06 PM I ordered them too. But I already have these https://de.aliexpress.com/item/1005009586815180.html but paid more back then. So better to have than to need 😉 2 more pic for the records Quote ~ Keep "OLD CAST IRON" alive - it´s worth it ~ Machines in use: - Singer 111G156 - Singer 307G2 - Singer 29K71 - Singer 212G141 - Singer 45D91 - Singer 132K6 - Singer 108W20 - Singer 51WSV2 - Singer 143W2
Members Constabulary Posted Friday at 04:21 PM Author Members Report Posted Friday at 04:21 PM (edited) Just wondering what prices are shown to the folks in the US (due to tariffs and stuff). F.I. the double toe set is 11.19€ + 4.03€ shipping on my end - thats approx $17.77 I have ordered a complete double toe set, a single left toe foot and a complete right toe set for 36.98€ incl shipping and VAT - thats $43.18. (EDIT II) and a pair of scissors is included too: https://de.aliexpress.com/item/1005009076526433.html? Not sure If I got charged with other import fees but yet I have not paid anything on top when I ordered on AE. They seem to "re-pack" the orders when they arrive in the EU so my shipping labels so far had a EU sender on it (yet). EDIT: I think I posted these 153w / 227R / CW-8B needle plates earlier but I´m not sure: https://de.aliexpress.com/item/4000301291692.html I think I haven´t seen the "left sided plates" elsewhere. Uwe Posted Friday at 07:53 PM Report Posted Friday at 07:53 PM And of course the algorithm presented me with yet another, more expensive but nice looking option specifically for the 341/1341 class of machines. This appears to allow really close encounters with an edge guide on the right. https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256809214267059.html Quote Uwe (pronounced "OOH-vuh" ) Links: Videos
CdK Posted Saturday at 06:37 PM Report Posted Saturday at 06:37 PM Can someone please explain what the use case is for the "8B high car" presser foot is? I have a 441 and a set of left, right, both as shown but don't understand what is special about them. Quote Leather work machines I own: Thor 1341, Thor 441, LSZ-1 clone, 801 bell skiver, Tinker's Delight Shoe Patcher. (Tippmann Boss was re-homed.)
Members dikman Posted Saturday at 10:01 PM Members Report Posted Saturday at 10:01 PM I'm guessing that "high car" refers to high carbon steel? As for 8B - . Quote Machines wot I have - Singer 51W59; Singer 331K4; Seiko STH-8BLD; Pfaff 335; CB4500. Chinese shoe patcher; Singer 201K (old hand crank)
Members Constabulary Posted Sunday at 07:25 AM Author Members Report Posted Sunday at 07:25 AM I think it is just another poor translation from Chinese to English or German. 8B IMO is referring to Seiko machines like STW-8B or CW-8B. Some chinese Co's using the 8B in names for similar machines. I don't High Carbon steel is used for these feet.
