Marine Fundraiser Seat

Recommended Posts

Hi all,I was asked to make a donation of $50 to a Motorcycle rally in memory of a marine killed in Iraq. The proceeds go to disabled veterans. I gave them the choice of the fifty bucks or a seat to auction. They chose the seat. I think they'll do better than $50 that way. It's going to take a few weeks to complete, in between orders. They don't need it til the middle of April. Here's what I have so far. I think I'm going to color it silver and gold, on a black seat, like the version worn on the caps.

great seat, great idea. Well done my hat off to ya.

Anytime i'm out eating and i see one or more of our best there . I always try to pick up their tap or lay what ever i can afford on the tap. All in all it's not even enough. You just can't put a price on letting me raise my daughter , my way. But yet so many of them have put a price on it.

Rock on Shirley !!!

That's gonna be badass!!. Nice tooling. I shoulda been a marine instead of a chairborne ranger in the Air Force.

I was in the AF,too. We taught marines in our turboprop course and had marine NCO instructors as well. Shirley, looks great ,but they wear covers not caps.

Air Force myself. USAF Security Police. I like the idea of picking up the tab for a GI eating out.

Good idea for a seat Shirley. Looking forward to seeing that one done.

Hell me too (SP that is). I was stationed in Minot North Dakota from 88-92. Too damn cold for marines up there for sure!

Hi Guys,

Thanks for your input. I'm hoping there will be lots of ex-marines there who will be interested in it. From your input I think they will be.

Dave I'll try and keep you posted with the various steps.

Shirley
