Hilly Report post Posted July 4, 2009 The last of my unfinished items that's been on the shelf for some time, finally done:-)It is real diamondback rattlesnake behind the skulls... Wow, Tina. You're showing your dark side again. I like it! How is it to work with snake skin? I have a rattlesnake skin I've been meaning to use.
Tina Report post Posted July 4, 2009 Wow, Tina. You're showing your dark side again.I like it! How is it to work with snake skin? I have a rattlesnake skin I've been meaning to use. *LOL* Sometimes it's hard to hide that dark part My first try at working with snake and it's not that easy. I did glue it ontop of another more sturdy leather and I'm sure I made a bunch of errors...You learn as you go along:-)

MADMAX22 Report post Posted July 4, 2009 Very cool all of it. Great use of the rattlesnake skin. One question, is the skulls stitched to the front or are they glued, just wondering.
Tina Report post Posted July 4, 2009 Very cool all of it. Great use of the rattlesnake skin. One question, is the skulls stitched to the front or are they glued, just wondering. Just glued (and keeping my fingers crossed)...It seams to be rather sturdy, I have tried to manipulate it and with normal use it should hold up just fine. real nice tina!!i like every bit of it!! nice detail and color on the skulls Great Thanks:-) I like trying to keep it true to nature if possible. ClayB Report post Posted July 4, 2009 Hi Tina, You did a great job on the details in all of this, makes it kind of...... creepy! I like most all the animals we have around here, but rattlesnakes I have just never gotten used to. The snake skin makes a great background for the carving. I also really like the viney border you used on the back. Another really neat notebook.

Crystal Report post Posted July 6, 2009 Love it, Tina! The snake skin is a really cool touch. Although - I probably wouldn't touch it. Give me a spider over a snake anyday - I am pretty sure I can take down a spider in a fair fight, don't think I could with a rattlesnake. Another beautiful project! I never get tired of seeing your work. Crystal
