MarkB Posted April 5, 2010 Report Posted April 5, 2010 Here is the latest headstall off the bench. This is a prize for the Southeastern Buckaroo Association. I used HO 9/10oz strap for the tooling leather and 4/6oz laitgo for the lining. I had the silver work done by Wages Silversmiths. I made three all the same for them hope you like these. Mark Hi Mark, Hope you don't get offended, but do you have a die you use for your headstalls, or do you cut them by hand? I keep trying to do them by hand and they just never turn out right Thanks Charlene Quote C. Stovin
MarkB Posted April 5, 2010 Author Report Posted April 5, 2010 Hi Mark, Hope you don't get offended, but do you have a die you use for your headstalls, or do you cut them by hand? I keep trying to do them by hand and they just never turn out right Thanks Charlene Charlene I do not use a clicker yet I cut everything by hand with a good head knife. I have found that the sharper the knife the better the shape will turn out. I hope this helps you out. I have this pattern that I could sell you to if that would help any.
