MarkB Report post Posted April 5, 2010 Here is the latest headstall off the bench. This is a prize for the Southeastern Buckaroo Association. I used HO 9/10oz strap for the tooling leather and 4/6oz laitgo for the lining. I had the silver work done by Wages Silversmiths. I made three all the same for them hope you like these. Mark Hi Mark, Hope you don't get offended, but do you have a die you use for your headstalls, or do you cut them by hand? I keep trying to do them by hand and they just never turn out right Thanks Charlene

I keep trying to do them by hand and they just never turn out right Thanks Charlene Charlene I do not use a clicker yet I cut everything by hand with a good head knife. I have found that the sharper the knife the better the shape will turn out. I hope this helps you out. I have this pattern that I could sell you to if that would help any.
