Members Severe Posted June 2, 2008 Members Report Posted June 2, 2008 I came up with this saddlebag pattern 12 or 15years back after a request from my wife. I do one or two a year mostly as gifts. The scroll cut ones seem to be the favorites but I've flower carved a few. This one went to a young lady that was tops in her graduating class. Quote

Members Duke Posted June 2, 2008 Members Report Posted June 2, 2008 now THATS quality work. my only hope is that kind of quality comes with time.I strive for it, but never hit the mark. well made. Members Oscar B Posted June 2, 2008 Members Report Posted June 2, 2008 Nice work. Quote Life is too short to wake up with regrets. So love the people who treat you right. Forget about the ones who don't. Believe everything happens for a reason. If you get a chance, take it. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said life would be easy, they just promised it would most likely be worth it."

TomSwede Posted June 2, 2008 Report Posted June 2, 2008 Absolutely fabolous! The scrollwork is so nice and all those little details, braiding, brass fitting and the coloured strap. Definetly a design that stands the test of time. Tom Quote Confucius - Better a diamond with a flaw than a pebble without. --------------------------------------------- www.1eye1.se blogg.1eye1.se
Members Severe Posted June 2, 2008 Author Members Report Posted June 2, 2008 Thanks all. There's only one big pocket in it and some gals like lots. My bride just wanted one and it needed to be tough. She packed her first one about eight years. It's still not wore out, I just thought she needed a new one. Quote
Ambassador pete Posted June 2, 2008 Ambassador Report Posted June 2, 2008 do you trace the cuts or are they completely freehand after casing? Beautiful work!!!! pete Quote
