steveb Report post Posted June 6, 2008 Thanks all for the kind words. funny story about that belt - I gave it to a friend for a 50th bday gift based on a measurement she gave me. well she must have been holding the dumb end of the ruler cuz it came up 2in short. Now I make most of my belts with a long billet, and in in this case it is a damn good thing I did...lol measure twice, cut once i say...and now i say that to my customers also!!! First of all, very nice work!!! "Measure twice, cut once" is an old saying for carpenters (ask my brother who taught me a lot ). Just had a guy order a belt from me. Said he wanted a 34" waist belt for himself. OK, says I. I asked him to give me the belt he was currently wearing......measured 36" to the place he buckled it!
